The Hong Kong Culture Centre is situated along the Tsim Sha Tsui Promenade in the Kowloon Peninsula. Completed in 1989, this is a large complex with a 2000 seat concert hall, 1700 Grand Theatre, smaller Studio Theatre, Exhibition gallery as well as multiple exhibition foyers.

The venue is used throughout the year for world-class concerts, theatre and musical productions, opera, dance and drama performances which you can reserve at the ticketing box office (open from 10am to 9:30pm daily) or reserve through the URBTIX website.

Note: The Hong Kong Arts Festival is held during the early months each year. Numerous large scale performances take place at the Hong Kong Culture Centre as part of this important annual programme.

It was not much to look at but this historic building is the only surviving pre-war cinema building in the urban area of Hong Kong. We wandered around the small lobby and learnt that it has become a venue dedicated to Cantonese opera. We were told some of the theater's interior were original.

The Ko Shan Theatre and New Wing are the centrepiece of the city park along Ko Shan Park Road in the To Kwa Wan neighbourhood. While the theatre house is open during scheduled performances, the park grounds are available for use 24 hours a day.

Here you will find nice, landscaped levels with park benches, elderly exercise equipment, children's playground area, football pitch and public toilets. In the end, it is a decent city park for area residents to enjoy and potentially worth spending a few minutes to enjoy if coming to Ko Shan for a performance.

The theatre itself has been a place to take in Cantonese opera since the early 1980s. A bit overshadowed now with the opening of the magnificent Xiqu Centre in TST, this is still a popular venue for locals who appreciate and take in regular performances.

Note: Much easier travelling to Ko Shan Theatre and park grounds these days with the opening of the nearby To Kwa Wan MTR Station, just 5-6 minute on foot.

The location provides a convenient place for special events and the participants could engage the crowd directly.

It was a very nice bar, with interesting decor. However, It was completely packed and impossible to walk around. In my opinion they should cap the number of people let in for a better experience.

You par around HKD150 to get it, with a drink included.

It was a good a experience but I would definitely avoid Fridays and Saturdays.

Last saw this show 10 years ago. Went to have a look during our visit on December 2023.
The show is not as good as previously. The music was not as upbeat and the light seems to be lesser. Though the duration was still 10 minutes.

Highly recommended the Tea House Theatre experience! Never feel bored in the 1.5 hours show, with a good balance and pace of individual components. The show starts with nice music played by Chinese musical instruments as a warm-up, followed by a recital of each special Chinese musical
instrument. The two Chinese opera performances are excellent choices to showcase the distinctive features of Chinese operas.

The delicious dim sums and tea are a wonderful touch to the show which you can truly immerse yourself in the tea house. The MC is good host who is lively and knowledgable. His interaction with the audience adds value to the shoe.

Qixu centre is conveniently located - right at MTR Austin station. A unique experience to show the cultural side of Hong Kong!

The cinema's design is not common, just like a lecture room in school, and reminds me the day of being student. The seat is not comfortable at all. I think they forgo comfort to make you so focused to appreciate "ART". Not recommend to visit if the film or "video art" is being screened somewhere else.

If you are in Hong Kong for more than 3-4 days then this is a fun little spot to add to your itinerary to see on Hong Kong Island. Make sure to leave enough time to get there because, as other reviewers have mentioned, it's only open for 30 minutes a day and the actual gun is shot only once exactly at noon. The officer stands and looks at his watch until it is precisely noon! A lovely little bit of history.

They say that laughter is the best medicine. With a year like 2020, the Riff has been the medicine I needed.

I have already been to 8 shows and at each one experienced full body laughs that made my abs sore.

The club is absolutely emasculate and the what sets it apart from the rest is the passion for comedy and attention to detail that the management has that makes each show truly entertaining. From open mics to headline events, the Riff puts on a great show.

I’m proud to live in a city that features such tremendous local talent and the Riff does a top notch job of showcasing it. Feel proud Hong Kong, the Riff is a gem you won’t find in many other cities.

The Tuen Mun Town Hall is located in the town centre next to the Public Library and between the Tuen Mun Park and the cluster of shopping malls in the area. It opened in 1987 and has since been the centre for cultural activities and performing arts for the northwest New Territories.

The complex includes and multiple storey auditorium that serves as a concert hall, cultural activities hall and exhibition gallery where drama, dance and music events are regularly held. For major events at the Tuen Mun Town Hall, tickets can be purchased through Urbtix.

I just went for Ding Ding Comedy night! It was an awesome event with 5 different comedians. They were all hilarious and it was a great time. $185 HKD if you buy the tickets before and $250 at the door. Would recommend for a great even after a fun dinner in Sheung Wan.

Afternoon visits there were quiet and productive given the way the seating was laid out. Reasonable food items, good coffee and good service. Great space, and nicely laid out.

Conveniently located in the busy district, a good place for casual drinks and to relax after a long day at work. A very wide range of drinks and food available. Very nice to step outside to the terrace for shisha. Classic and "old school" design (very befitting the atmosphere - good!) Highly recommended!
