This part of the wall is superb but don’t have anything to compare it with. Its covers a huge area, pavilion after pavilion. It was busy on New Years Day and many come to pray at the beginning of the New Year. With Covid restrictions in place, we could not buy a ticket via WeChat however we were able to pay for the ticket in cash when we arrived on site. As a visitor, you do need your passport number to visit the site. The history is incredible and it provides great insight to the spiritual side of ancient times. The buildings are amazing and if you time you visit right when the light is low, the sun lights up the interiors so you can really appreciate the beauty and craftsmanship of these buildings. - Tundykee013 contributionsIt was beautiful and even though we haven't been on another part of the wall, I can definitely say this is the most stunning part of the wall. The lake view is priceless and there are a lot of faculties around the wall at this place. Unfortunately the amusement park was closed due to winter and most part of the wall was also closed but at the summer time I am pretty sure it's the best. Especially for people with kids. Tiananmen Square continues to play a key role in Beijing whereby important parades and events are held.
