- Tomasz P1 contributionWell, planned trip. The time on the Wall was enough to take excellent photos and enjoy the sights. Good feature is the organisers pick up from the hotel. The price is too high in my opinion. I think that tickets for a toboggan and cable railway should be included. The experience was amazing, but the additional costs were not. It was amazing to take part in the traditional ritual of tea making, and also see the craft jewellery-making process. Our guide was very helpful, the pick up and drop off went very smoothly. He was kind enough to drop us off in another, more convenient location even though it was at least 30 min further away. We did a tour that included a driver and tour guide transporting us to part of the Wall that’s easily accessible with a cable car. It had snowed the day before so we had a beautiful, clear sunny day but still very cold so luckily we dressed warm. - Mauricio V4 contributionsBetter impossible. The tour to the Great Wall was amazing. We booked the private transportation from and back to the airport PEK without tour guide. We had a transit from 5 til 14:30 and we had enough time at the wall to relax, walk, admire and then be back at the airport 2 hours and a half before the flight . I can highly recommend this tour operator. They wrote us within the next 5 minutes after I booked, and they were very clear so that we felt confident at all times. The driver met us with a plate with my name on it at the exit of the airport. Nevertheless, they also told us the name and plates of the car one day in advance, so that we felt even more safe. Exactly as explained in the tour option that we chose, the driver did not speak english, but he was always ready to use his translator. For an extra price an english speaking tour guide is available but I assure you, at least for us nothing more was necessary, and we didn't need to worry about any details. He bought the tickets we wanted for us: chair lift to go up and the toboggan to go down. So helpful, friendly and informative . He told great facts and info about all the places we went . He also was so friendly , made sure no one got lost in the group & took so many great pictures! I highly recommend this tour for those who like hiking and adventure.
The guide i had is very good and we spent a full day on the Wall.
We had lunch after and he told me many things bout the Wall.

Tony, my driver and guide, was very friendly, informative, and reliable. He was able to lend me a warm coat and his hotspot so I could send some of the amazing photos back to my family. - Sue DWorcester, UK163 contributionsWhat an amazing and awe-inspiring day! The Yellow Flower Great Wall hike with Dom is a day out to remember. We went last week, early April, and the mountains were cloaked in white blossom, making them look almost as if they were covered in a light dusting of snow.
The hike, which sometimes became a bit of a scramble, was enormous fun and you got a real sense of achievement to reach the top and gaze across the mountain peaks.
Dom was an excellent guide, very personable and easy-going, yet a real professional. There was never a problem if you wanted to stop to take photos, or for a breather - and we did both plenty of times! Despite the effort required, Dom somehow managed to make the day relaxing, perhaps because there was no rush and we could just do it at our own pace.

He tailed everything to our family’s needs as we were travelling with our 3 kids ages 10 and 14. Peter shared so much interesting facts and history and was so friendly and engaging with the children. The hike itself was breathtaking with views of the ancient Great Wall winding through forests and mountains.
