Xianggong Mountain Yangshuo County
All of this was a moot point when you reach the summit platform and see the incredible view of the Li River and the numerous mountain peaks - just spectacular!
The wait however is worth it when you see the sun gently rising behind the hills of the Guilin landscape and softly illuminating the river and the houses on its banks.

While Lijiang and Dali are both beyond beautiful and filled with magnificent ad magical architecture, they have both been taken over by hordes of tourists and shops selling tourist trinkets.
With a car/driver and guide for my transport from Dali to Lijiang, I arranged a stop in Shaxi, the ancient town on the historic Tea Horse Trade Route between Yunnan, Burma and Tibet.

... are lovely Chinese vistas of pavilions, pagodas, hills, trees, flowers, fishing boats - and at times a backdrop of the modern skyline of Hangzou city providing a contrast to the natural and historical beauty.

Once you will get off the bus (the area is only accessible by buses) you will have the chance to walk along a path which leads you along the picturesque rivers and lakes (the main attraction).
I would recommend spending about an hour here just strolling and gazing at the backdrop of the jade dragon snow mountains sitting stunningly behind this blue water lake.

This 1300-year-old Wuzhen has a 7,119 Ha (17.591 acre) area, is a national 5A scenic area and is listed in the UNESCO tentative list “The Ancient Waterfront Towns in the South of Yangtze River” since 2008.
Wuzhen is a genuinely old town, but unlike the other canal towns in the region, the buildings along the canal in the West Scenic Zone (Xi Zha) are reconstructions of the originals.

OCT HARBOUR Shenzhen
This area is now near the top of my list for a great day trip in the city.
The big open piazza is crowded from late afternoon til almost midnight so be prepared for all kinds of noise coming from different bars and restaurants with some entertainers that makes the place so lively and fun!
