- MissJaneoNew York City, NY57 contributionsI absolutely loved this! One of the best things I’ve done in Africa. I love how the orphanage is taking care of these beautiful creatures and giving them a second chance. Being able to see them up close and hear their stories was incredibly special. This was an unforgettable experience. The baby elephants are absolutely adorable!
Would have loved to give a donation and come back but their donation amount was a bit high for just two people. Maybe this is something they could reconsider to allow more people to donate and have a personal experience.
I would love to come back again if I ever visit Nairobi!Written August 16, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It is amazing that this national park is within the city limits of Nairobi- a city of several million people. It was at times strange to see gazelles and rhinos and other large mammals in the foreground, and the city skyline in the background.
We saw well over 100 large mammals that game drive (in a hired van with driver) and it was a good warm up experience.Written August 7, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. You get to learn about these great animals and feed them, but watch out for their head butts. Overall this is a fairly quick spot, but something you should do when in Nairobi.Written August 14, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Ruhi PatelTimau, Italy11 contributionsThe good thing with Karura is you can never get tired as there are many routes to exit such as passing the waterfall and just posing, the cave which is great as well. the River Cafe is a have-to-go one when done with walking. There is a slide and swings to chill afterwards.Written July 26, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- PepbillLos Angeles, CA6 contributionsSamuru national park is it's own parks. It's very dry but there are still some very cool unique stuff to see. The Grevy Zebras are beautiful, the Reticulated Giraffes are amazing and like a reserves in Kenya the are amazing. Visit if you can!Written August 2, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- KumarL1960Greensboro, NC159 contributionsExcellent staff, great animals but this place looks like it is not being taken care of. I asked one the employees and was told that the owner passed away due to COVID and now the family is fighting over the property.
I was surprised how well the guide spoke to us, he showed us different kinds of crocks, a whole turtle area (my kids even got to hold a turtle) and even showed us the ostrich farm.
Folks - get out there and go support this Mamba Village. If more people showed up and paid the entrance fee, I think this place can survive.

The park is ok, but renovations are needed. There is a really nice exhibit in the middle with a couple of snakes and lizards in there. Further are a lot of venomous and less dangerous snakes. A lot of snakes inhabit Kenya for example the black mamba and different cobra species. Some exhibits are nice, others less. The exhibits for the crocodiles and alligators need renovation. It is nice, but also small and you will be out there between half an hour/hour.Written December 13, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - KentStuCanterbury, Kent35 contributionsGreat place that does amazing work. They are gradually opening up more post Covid, but the numbers allowed are still restricted, so definitely worth booking very early. Seeing the baby elephants is an amazing experience and their playfulness and joy puts a big smile on everyone's face. The talk given during the visit is great, informative and really highlights the importance of the work they do to save and then reintegrate into the wild these orphans. - Naina-DamaniLondon, UK1,032 contributionsIt seems to be fairly well run and the animals would have died if not looked after at this place. The orphanage hosts lions, cheetahs, various monkeys, etc. It takes care of not a huge variety. Giraffe centre is by far amazing.Written December 28, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Mercy CWorld1 contributionThis is the ideal place to breathe. The views are truly amazing and the Wildlife is just amazing. From the roaring lions and the laughing hyenas at night to the visiting Girrafe and glimpses of buffaloes, the neighing of Zebras, and the cute impala. SO breathtaking. The countless varieties of birds are just splendid. I recommend this experience. 10/10Written May 20, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. While searching online I came across the Keru Safaris & Tours. Our tour consultant was Jerusha. She was very polite and helpful. He proposed a 3 day travel in Masai Mara Safari. It was once in a lifetime experience. we even saw the leopard, being the most elusive of the five. The guide was brilliant and knowledgeable and ensured a wonderful and entertaining game drive. The tour was comfortable and pleasant. Definitely worth every penny!!!Written March 11, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
