Pretty gardens and interesting. Have good views of Nairobi’s skyline. However, there is too much trash and that distracted me from enjoying them. I went there because I had been told one gets good views of Nairobi’s skyline. Once there I realized Kenyatta International Conference Centre is more suitable for that purpose.

Toxic air pollution and noise in central Nairobi

This is one of the most congested areas of downtown Nairobi. Many buses, matatu's, boda boda, trucks and taxis frequent the maze of narrow roads and side streets in the River road area. Difficult to avoid if you have to take local or even international bus transport.

I understood city authorities made an effort to divert bus traffick to a modern terminal, but were confronted with fierce opposition of various transport companies. Vendors who occupy the scarce spaces to walk are also not longer urged to move. It feels as if the responsible authorities have given up.

I managed to cycle through on a Sunday afternoon when there was less traffic and commercial activity. If you care about your health, try to limit visits to what is absolutely necessary.

To correct the review below the Eye of Kenya is taller than the Cape Wheel and it is less than half of the price. It also has the most fantastic views and service!
