Really spectacular, went as part of a tour. You need a guide to explain the site. See the Shishak insription which confirms to authenticity of the Bible. Everything is massive here.

You have to pay extra if you are in a tour group but well worth the price, plus the entrance ticket was very cheap. The construction was beautiful and looked magistic. Complex was huge and you could easily spend 2-3 hours taking pictures inside.

As others have said, this is extra cost, but worth it. The colours and the paintings are amazing. The intricate detail in the hieroglyphics is mind-boggling, particularly given the scale of the tomb. Very worthwhile as an addition to the three 'normal' tombs that you are allowed with an entrance ticket.

This is a wonderful caring charity for several types of animals cats, dogs, donkeys and horses mainly

They give education every day to school children in there own classroom promoting harmony with animals which inriches our lives and also the animals lives

So many animals in Egypt are mistreated, this is an oasis of love and caring

Also they sterilise dogs and cats to reduce there population and there suffering

Please take 30-60 minutes to visit ACE, you will be so pleased you did

If you are able to make a donation, however small, it all helps ACE to continue there wonderful, loving care of animals

I don’t normally make reviews, but ACE deserve all the support they can get for there excellent, devoted and loving work

    🙏🙏🙏

The Avenue of Sphinxes stretches from the Luxor Temple to the Temple of Karnak. The sheer magnitude of carving all these identical sphinxes and lining them along the rite between the two temples is very impressive. The length is 3 kilometers. You are able to walk the entire avenue, but we didn’t feel energetic enough to undertake it.

Very little remain of this site, beyond the two colossi and other massive statues. They are still impressive just by the scale and give a sense of the awesome size of the sanctuary that hosted them

Very nice gift shop that doesn’t pressure you to buy! We got some very nice, decently priced gifts and Mohammad was very friendly and fair.

Definitely recommend for any tourists looking for hassle free gifts. He also does currency exchange at a very good rate for anyone looking to do so.

Right next to the Valley of the Kings and mostly this valley of the Queens has just one attraction, that of the tomb of Queen Nefetari, the tomb kept most of its colors inside and it was beautiful. By rule you could not stay for more than 15 min but just pay a tip to the employee sitting inside and he would allow you to stay longer.

The Obelisk of Thutmoses I is located in the Temple of Karnak site. It and the Obelisk of Hatshepsut are two of the largest obelisks at Karnak. It consists on one piece of granite mined near Aswan and apparently transported on the Nile River to this location. After transport, it had to be erected, which is hard to fathom without modern technology. The size and weight of the obelisk and the intricacies of its designs are fascinating.

I visited it in February and it was not crowded at all. Had a great time and it’s definitely a must see when you visit Luxor.

The Karnak Temple site is enormous. It is the largest religious site in the world at 247 acres. Pieces are still being put together to complete some of the columns. If you have time, look over the area on the north end of the site where the jigsaw puzzle of pieces are re-assembled.

Wasn't our first choice but we had a punch left on our ticket so decided to brave the incline in this tomb. Very cool experience.

My wife and I visited the Valley of the Kings as part of our cruise of the Nile River this past December. Our entry ticket allowed us to visit three tombs. Out tour director suggested that one of the tombs to visit be the Tomb of Ramses IV. It was a good selection. The colors were very vibrant and the drawings and hieroglyphics on the walls and ceilings were very intricate. We thought it was one of the best tombs in the Valley of the Kings.

My wife and I embarked on our Nile River cruise at the Corniche on the east bank of the river in Luxor. It is a picturesque area, but you will be bombarded by hawkers trying to sell carriage rides, souvenirs and trinkets. It is incessant. We were only able to avoid the harassment by being in a large tour group. Our tour guide described them as “vultures”. He told us not to make eye contact with them or acknowledge them in any way or they would follow you all the way to the bus or your boat trying to sell you something. It helps to be wearing sunglasses.
