The highlight of this trip goes to the guide Mohammed Wagdy, that guided us in Luxor. Extremely helpful, tells about history in a nice way and really easy to follow and understand, besides that he speaks Portuguese, Spanish, English and a few more languages.
Not only because he is great as a guide, but such a kind human!

- bette13Ravena, NY132 contributionsI rarely use tour companies, but for Egypt it is a MUST. I was traveling alone with my mother (74) and was extra cautious about everything. After several days of researching I decided on Nile Cruisers. So happy I went with them. Communication was very responsive. I probably drove Hend crazy with all my questions and emails, but she answered them all and everything went according to plan. In Jordan we had the most amazing driver, Mo (Mohanad Abd Aldaym). He looked after my mom and I like we were family. Always felt safe on and off the road with him. His English was perfect. Jordan is a beautiful country and very safe. All accommodations were wonderful and as promised. Highly recommend the Memories Camp for a night in Wadi Rum, truly unforgettable.
In Cairo our guide, Hadeer, was super knowledgeable and fun. She took alot of great pics for us as well. We ate a traditional lunch that was prepared table side. Very fun. We flew to Luxor the next day to catch the cruise. I highly recommend flying not driving or the train! The Cruise on the Nile was on the Tulip, all these boats are the same ship with the same itinerary. They upgraded us to a suite, which was nice. We had our own tour guide that was with us all 5 days of the cruise and he was amazing. Abdel is a real Egyptologist. He had incredible knowledge of all sights and answered all endless questions. He arranged some last minute change requests to our schedule so we could visit the Nubian Village outside of Aswan and take a felucca sail. I highly recommend both. Abdel was very patient and kind as well. The private tour is the way to go. You can move at your own pace and have so much flexibility. He was an excellent host who saw to our needs and interests from the very beginning. His passion and enthusiasm made it easy to talk to him like one of the family. He kept us informed about what to expect during the tour and also provided many interesting pieces of history and perspective. The tour had a a good set of relaxing activities that were interesting yet not demanding to help us really enjoy our time including seeing spider monkeys, Nile Crocodiles, turtles, fresh fruit trees and vegetation, singing and more. Additionally, Hatem went above and beyond to help us sort out logistics issues for other tours simply through the kindness of his heart. - Sara1 contributionWe took the Nile cruise on our 10-day trip to Egypt in Dec 2022 and loved it. Our tour was with “Let’s discover Egypt”, they were very responsive and everything was well planned. Our tour guides were all on time and knowledgeable, all transportation/meals were arranged and the Nile Boat was decent. Something to keep in mind is we had very early starts almost every day (3:30am-5:30am) due to the number of places/activities (Edfu, Abu Simbel, Hot Air Balloon), the program is intense and not a relaxing type, think of the cruise as a mean of transportation between Aswan and Luxor. We enjoyed the cruise and I highly recommend this tour specially if you’re short on time and want to maximize your experience. - Vinny C58 contributionsIts extremely difficult to decide what activities to do when your in Egypt, people don't have endless amounts of time or money so you need to choose carefully. This is where Sphinx Travel of Egypt come to the front, they are an established company with a great reputation, they will help you decide on the best sites and activities to fit your budget and the time you have available, they are not pushy and appreciate people also enjoy and often need personal time as well as trip time, great at balancing your needs. After hours and hours of internet time checking companies and prices and comparing tours, guides and operators we selected Sphinx Travel, we signed up for the Nile cruise from luxor to Aswan, well what can we say, 5 star all the way, we were picked up at our hotel and transferred to a magnificent boat, friendly staff, immaculately clean and superb food. Sphinx Travel booked us in at reseption, explains the tours and gave us their customer support telephone number incase we had any questions. The whole trip was magnificent, it made you feel so relaxed, the stops and trips on the way down were effortlessly as Sphinx Travel organised everything from a horse drawn carriage to a professional guide.
