    It’s pretty cool to see over a mile and half of sphinx’s lining both sides of the avenue. The avenue was designed to connect the Luxor temple to the Karnak temple. And they would use the parade route to show off certain idols in front of the ppl who lived there at the time.

    We arrived the week before and our driver said it had to be ready for the concerts. I spent the next week being sceptical, I must admit, but on the Saturday of the 1st Performance, all was tidied up and transformed.
    After that it was certainly in use by families and locals to stroll, sit and generally enjoy a nice time.
    Yes, the touts are still there, but I can ignore them.

    Similar to the other Obelisks by way of spectacular. Each one is different by way of the hieroglyphs that are carved in. Whilst walking around you will easily see them all
