Lots of interesting artefacts to see. The experience would have been better with a guide or audio guide.
It does get extremely crowded with tour groups, especially to see Tutankhamen and at the entrance/exit.

I really enjoyed Coptic Cairo. It's free to get in unless you are going to visit the museum. We didn't visit the museum but visited all the churches there. Make sure that you do some research so you know what the church is about and why it's important. This was a great stop in Cairo

It is big and nice but seems a bit older and stores are not as interesting compared to the Festival Mall. Restaurants also did not seem as appealing. But worth a visit if you have another day to roam around. We went after a tour day before dinner so it was worth visiting. Very large.

Worth the visit. Some amazing Mosaic's can be seen. Has many old paintings on display. It is definitely a place to visit if you are visiting the Coptic churches.

This is a fantastic museum. The mummy display is absolutely fascinating and the main floor tells the story of Egyptian civilisation from the beginning. Just beware that if you do that after the mummies, the stairs bring you out half way through the story so make sure you go back to the beginning. There's also a floor with a few little shops on which were lovely.

Huge mall and the best one we visited in Cairo. Great stores, great restaurants and just a nice clean space to walk around after a day of touring. CHeap to get an Uber to as well.

This is a beautiful mosque. The location of the mosque is not so good as the traffic in this area is horrible and we had to wait for a long time to find a Uber.

Completed in 1363 this mosque and school symbolizes the power of the Mamluk sultans. Its initiator was Hassan, the energetic (7th) son of Mohamed Hassan. Perhaps in a hurry to leave his mark on the world - assassinated at the age of 27- he chose an ambitious project. The main building is 150 meters long, 68m wide and 36m high. A colossal structure even now, let alone if placed in the 14th century context. The ornamentation is perhaps not as refined as other examples of Mamluk architecture, but still awe inspiring.

I aim to visiting places where people really had a whole life, it gives me a unique feeling to wander around where they lived, to look at things they really used in their daily life, that's why this place is a highlight for me. I am so into visiting previous people's old houses

Decent collection of Islamic art, related to various dynasties that ruled Egypt. A good museum to browse in 1-2 hours time.

Very beautiful and impressive mosque near Hassan Mosque in Islamic Cairo. It is a monumental construction. Though it was built 500 years later than Hassan Mosque, they made it similar in appearance.
