So impressed with Ahmed Khattab from Triad, his professionalism and his genuine care about you to bring your dream holiday to life. The guides are very knowledgeable and also care that each person makes the most of each visit to a site, what to look for and where to take the best photos. The Nile boat was fun and the staff very helpful plus lots of great food and very comfortable. From the moment you land, the Triad team make sure you move through all formalities quickly and simply including entry into all the sites. While everyone wants to see the pyramids, Triad also immerse you in the cultural experience of Egypt. This has been a dream of mine to visit Egypt and Ahmed’s team have made it a reality, thank you so much. I leave Egypt so content and very happy.

My recent trip to Egypt included the land operator Planet Tours & Travel. I wanted to review them separately from the travel company I booked the full excursion through (Exoticca-Avoid At All Costs!!!).

Planet Tours provides some outstanding customer service. We had great reps within the company (Samuel, Omar, etc...) as well as an amazing freelance guide, Fady. They work with you every step of the tour, making sure that your check-in, transportation, and even arrival/departure are seamless.

However, I was not crazy about the day-to-day organization of the trip. I understand the need for some of it (including early mornings to avoid the heat), but much of the trip was rushed and exhausting. You are often to tired and too hungry (LUNCH BREAKS PLEASE!!!) to actually enjoy some sites. I think a planning meeting in which the company revisits the actual structure of the tour would be helpful.

Excellent guide for Alexandria, tried to accommodate to our wishes and questions as best as possible! Eg. Dietary restrictions were handled well, as well as ample time for questions, and time for photos.

We booked a cruise with kemet Egypt travel from Luxor to Aswan. Mr Ahmed was our contact and he organized our trip. It was a three night cruise. All sailings were on time. The service on board was immaculate. The visits to the temples and the ground transportation was perfect. The cleanliness of the rooms and bathrooms was excellent. I highly recommend this experience with kemet Egypt travel because they are very comfortable

We have time this afternoon for either of these museums but not both. With an 18 mo old we're traveling slowly so we need to pick just one. I've searched reviews and blogs but I haven't seen an article comparing the two. Any strong opinions here?
Answer: I'm afraid that your guide has told you a big fib Terri as the Egyptian Museum has plenty of things "of interest" to see including the Tutankhamun gold mask, a golden inner coffin, his throne, and many items of his royal jewellery. Because the museum is a listed building and will not be closing once the GEM opens there are also newly curated galleries of other royals and many of the most iconic pieces of Ancient Egyptian art remaining. Items such as the Meidum Geese painting, the statue of Khafre Enthroned, the statuette of Khufu, the triads of Menkhaure, the colossus of Amenhotep III and Queen Tiye, and literally thousands more. There is no official opening date for the GEM yet so if you want to see the key treasures of Ancient Egypt before then you really should include a visit to the Egyptian Museum as well as NMEC
