We were able to explore the Khan Al Khalili market multiple times during our stay in Cairo; firstly as part of a guided tour and then by ourselves over three days mostly in the late afternoon or night. It consists of many small alleys with a variety goods on display. The clothes were either t-shirts or fantastical and impractical. I especially liked the shops selling lamps and lights which were very colourful. Some sections are very touristy but the further out you go the more practical it becomes. We found streets of just cooking utensils.

We don't tend to buy the ubiquitous t-shirts or souvenirs any more but did buy an alabaster candle light holder from one vendor who, surprisingly, was fixed price - reasonable price up front with no discounts - and a falafel maker (though that may have been outside the market proper). I didn't find the vendors more encroaching than usual for Egypt and always felt physically safe but, for us, it was more about the atmosphere than the goods being sold. It is an excellent chance to see some of the old walls and gates of Cairo.

This is a very fancy shopping center, indoor. It will get you off the congested streets and you can shop fixed price for luxury goods, as well as other things. Popular with the locals looking for fashion.

We liked very much the mall and the surroundings, with light blue pools and fountains, with nice restaurants and cafes. It is a great place for shopping and for relaxation at a cafe or restaurant.

Take your time and enjoy the superb craftsmanship. It's worth every penny of the price - and the vendors do NOT inflate their prices. This is an art form which may die out after these artisans retire.

I had a brilliant time visiting Mamluk. The staff was so friendly and the quality of the selections is very impressive. Having just come from the Egyptian museum I was very impressed by the display of artisan crafted replicas of the treasures of king Tut. Fatima was particularly lovely and helpful. As was everyone really. The jewelry is beautiful and exceptionally well crafted. Definitely recommend a visit.

Was recommended to us along with Nomad gallery by our guide from Food tours by Mila when we had this magnificent food tour in local Cairo and asked about where can we find real handmade authentic products, I liked both galleries but the prices of Oum El Dounia gallery was bit more competitive and there was more variety of products, I purchased small beautiful handbage and got one for my daughter as a gift, the staff working there are very decent and nice

This was one of the highlights during my visit to Cairo. When I read about it, I knew I had to go. It all seemed so chaotic. The camels are mainly sold for their meat so keep this in mind if you are a vegetarian. Had a driver with a guide to get there. The drive through the countryside to get there was also worth it. Ladies..take a scarf to wear, dust being kicked up everywhere.

One of the most relaxing venues to dine in or to shop. It's a broad area directly below the sky offering the best Egyptian moderate weather expierence.

Recommend if you want to buy small gifts to take and or interesting affordable art. Nice to avoid the khan el Khalili atmosphere and casually browse. They also hold art workshops for kids in the community.

Arts and crafts without the hassles of a busy souk and a lovely restaurant for a well priced relaxing lunch. Calm and has plenty of quality goods in proper shops.

small but worth the hike - if you are surrounded by bullet bras and pre-packaged blankets you are not there yet. Keep moving - also there's a great local market stretch that's fun to walk through and buy some Egyptian pretzels and enjoy

We were out near the Airport & needed to pick up some items pre flight so our guide recommended The District as the perfect spot. It is certainly an ultraModern twist for Cairo. Upscale construction, amenities, shops of International brands & Restaurant galore. Whatever you need - it probably found at The District - in Modern Cairo! Enjoy!
