Everyone want and will overcharge you. Beautiful antiques though. Cafes are pretty nice to sit in.

My ultimate tip is to be seriously careful and aware of your belongings since it is an extremely crowded place.

I love Festival City! It's very big and expansive. There are so many well known international brands and other nice local shops, stands, stalls and kiosks as well. There's also a big Carrefour, Cinema, Banks and numerous services. It's one of the 'newer' Malls in the New Cairo area. It's worth mentioning that designer brands and apparel are not available in Festival City Mall. Was pleased to see that the Mall connects to Ikea- (one of my favorite places to wonder in). The best thing about this Mall is the Food Court, which has tons of options. There are about 4 locations for Kids Entertainment, including Magic Planet, a bounce hall and obstacle course-like place. I adore 'The Village' area of the mall, which has lots of wonderful restaurants, (casual, as well as formal) and that beautiful fountain in the center. It has multiple floors and is quite well maintained, except for the toilets, which can be dirty even though they are being constantly cleaned. Everyone should endeavour to visit Festival City Mall. It's one of the best Shopping Malls in Cairo! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

The mall has multiple levels and multiple buildings. And it is connected to the Intercontinental Hotel (and others nearby). Many big European mall stores, jewelry stores, perfume stands, all kinds of fast food and coffee places, and some good restaurants in the Mall and in the Intercontinental. A separate section (Khan-el Khalil) which has Egyptian knick-knacks - no set prices so buyer beware. But a good selection.
If you are looking to spend an afternoon away from the heat and for some local shopping, worth the while.

One of my favorite malls in greater Cairo, always has the essentials with a vast selection of stores. I would recommend the mall any time of the week besides the Weeknd’s

We live this market. It is not touristy. It is hard to get to it is aka Al Khayamiyya if you are using google maps or Google Bab Zuwayla. There are so many textile markets etc. We found a great slipper shop. Do Egypt . Enjoy the journey

This was one of the highlights during my visit to Cairo. When I read about it, I knew I had to go. It all seemed so chaotic. The camels are mainly sold for their meat so keep this in mind if you are a vegetarian. Had a driver with a guide to get there. The drive through the countryside to get there was also worth it. Ladies..take a scarf to wear, dust being kicked up everywhere.

Although the mall was an iconic one in last 20 yrs in Cairo and landmark but it had survived with the massive competition and the opening of the new brand malls in Cairo , prices are average and remains reasonable quality .

Negative , kids playground is very poor and needs a refurbishments and staff need to be trained to quality standard.

We were out near the Airport & needed to pick up some items pre flight so our guide recommended The District as the perfect spot. It is certainly an ultraModern twist for Cairo. Upscale construction, amenities, shops of International brands & Restaurant galore. Whatever you need - it probably found at The District - in Modern Cairo! Enjoy!

Very nice place to buy some souvenir from Egypt (fix prices, good prices, nice things). They don't push you to buy something if you don't want.
    So i recommende!

Get your uber to drop you off at Zuwayla Gate by the Mosque of Al Salih Talai best I can do. This is an incredible spot to find purses, shoes, rugs, and of course tents. Bring your walking shoes because it is dusty and at the end of the street is where they sell fish, chicken, produce etc and it can get messy. We got some incredible bread sticks for 20LE full bag. It is a must stop if you have time in Cairo.

Amazing shop! They have the best selection of authentic papyrus, many different styles, reasonable prices and the staff can talk you through everything in English! Also packed my purchases very well so they did not get damaged in my suitcase travelling home. A real gem, will be back!
