Located right off of one of the busiest streets here, Yulgok, the palace entrance can be found on this road, but there is also a back entrance as well, but that’s quite a bit away as this area is huge.

The place was definitely more accessible than most places I’ve been to in other countries where you really couldn’t get super close to most places to see the insides of the buildings as they’re lined off and such, or there’s a net or something to obstruct the view. Here, no such issue, albeit, you still can’t really go inside these places, but still, quite up and personal for the majority of the buildings.

It is a bit confusing as there’s several places to visit in this park, but each place needs a separate ticket to get in. If your plan is to go through all of the places, or go from one end of this very large area to the other, you’ll have to at least enter both the palace area halves, though, these are both the cheaper tickets. The Secret Garden ticket alone costs more than both combined.

All 3 areas have their appeals. I will reference them according to Joseon Kdramas as the measuring stick.

The side where you enter in from Yulgok is the area mostly where you see military training areas, but courtyards, etc. The other side is where all the palaces for where royalty stay are and also those huge gardens where the king will walk through usually. The secret garden has a lot of the secret meeting places, by lakes, in random tea areas to discuss strategies, or something to that effect.

Overall, especially if you like Kdramas of the Joseon era, this is quite the accessible place to get your nerd on. If you just want to sight see an appreciate history, this is also a great place for that.

Outstanding place of beauty and great walks too. I was on a guided tour and the walk wasn’t too long (about 3 hours) and terrain varied but not too difficult - very achievable in a day. I was in a tour bus and defo would not want to take a car as roads and car parks all very busy. Nice range of cafes and good amenities too - queues tend to move quickly.

We visited Cheonggyecheon Stream as part of our walking tour with Jessie at MySeoulTrip. The stream is picturesque and we found it perfect for walking and relaxing. It provided a much-needed reprieve from the intense humidity of the day as we sat by the water with our feet dipped in.

With its gentle, babbling flow, waterfalls, painted murals, and plenty of trees, Cheonggyecheon Stream is a peaceful urban retreat. There are stepping stones for crossing the stream, frequent stairways, and elevators at some entrances that make it easily accessible. Its tranquil atmosphere makes it perfect for unwinding—whether you’re alone with a book, catching up with friends, or taking a quiet stroll.

Cheonggyecheon Stream is a simple yet thoughtful space and a great example of urban renewal done right.

During our vacation, we went on a nighttime river boat, had a picnic one day, and ended our visit with a nighttime stroll (there are so many amazing food trucks here!). To go to Yeouido, take the subway.

This park has a mix between nature and modernism. There is a deer corral, which makes it a plus for the visit. The river view is great and it connects to the Eungbongsan Palgakjeong Pavilion, which will give you a beautiful view of the city.
If you like nature, walking and hiking, then it is a must to visit place when visiting Seoul.
Make sure you do your research before going to the park to see the parts relevant to you.
This is a big a park.

Being in the COEX centre I thought i'd give it a go.

Pretty expensive for what it is but the best part for me was the variety of marine wildlife, I expected a bit less given how seemingly cramped the place was compared to other acquariums I've visited.

It's like a smaller version of Central Park in NYC. It used to be an airfield before it was converted to a park with lots of trees and even some animals. Nice place to walk around for nearby office workers.Enjoying the lovely park in the springtime. Watching cherryblossoms and spring food festival, I got water coloring for me too. The park is so huge and we can enjoy everything like cycling, strolling, playing kite, having picnic with friends and family. Will be back for sure!

The closest subway station is Yeouinaru (Subway Line 5, Purple), exit via Exits 2 or 3. I believe only Exit 4 is the one with the elevator. This is one of the recommended sites for cherry blossom viewing (I visited 1 APR 2024), where the cherry blossoms were just starting to bloom, though there was one tree just right outside the station exit 2 that was further along the blooming process. Cherry blossom trees line the footpaths to the left and right of the exits, just pick any one and enjoy! Visited around 10+ in the morning, was relatively quiet, and you could take all the time you wish; the area got a lot more crowded during lunchtime, so do be early!

Didn’t know what to expect- wanted to see vestiges of past Olympic glory but the building were mostly shuttered.

The walking trails, plant specimens and trees, and the layout were surprisingly large. There’s a lot to do besides walk- the were vendors, coffee places (which were packed!) ponds, playgrounds- lots to do. In good weather this a a great place to spend several hours.

A such picturesque landscape, fresh air and over looking to the city. Tall long silvery grass and purple header give a unique charm .

Great view, especially at night. The way to the top is a bit exhausting but fun if you're there with friends. On the way up you can have a good chat and simply switch off from everyday life and feel the fresh air. There are also some corners with a break where you can enjoy the view even better and, if you're lucky, see and pet cats

Without thinking about it we decided to hike Inwangsan on a Saturday.
Saturdays may not be the best time to hike Inwangsan Mountain because of the streams of people making their way up to the peak, fortunately we started in the opposite direction to the majority of the crowds and had a great climb without the long queueing to get up the rocky peak. My internet research paid off following the recommendations to take Metro line 3 (orange line) to Gyeongbokgung Station, take Exit 3 and head to the bus stop on your right a few minutes down the road. Take either bus 1020, 7022 or 7212. Travel for 10-12 minutes to Jahamungogae stop, cross the road to find the start of the trail. The hike up the mountain was challenging at times but thoroughly enjoyable, it took us roughly forty minutes to reach the peak. From the peak the views were stunning looking over Seoul. We continued on along the path down the mountain, through the congressed sections of the narrow path/stairs, then weaving our way through the streets to Dongnimmun Station. A very satisfying morning hike. I look forward to returning to Inwangsan Mountain on our next visit to Seoul.

The aquarium was good. Lots to see. We bought our ticket from Klook and it includes Lotte world park and aquarium. We visited the park first and had to walk a distance with achy feet. The aquarium itself is in The middle of a shopping g centre which is mind blowing. The Beluga was beautiful and the ocean exhibits were cool.
