A lot of cute and unique stationery on Level 1. Third floor is filled with amazing photography and art books. Can be a bit pricey and most of the artbooks are only in Korean. Amazing experience after all.

Nice movie theater in Seoul around the COEX mall area of 삼성동.
While I was there for 11 or 12 days in Seoul, watched two movies here. My friend used the app to the buy tickets both times, so we walked over there 20 or 30 minutes before it started.
They let you in to sit 10 or 15 minutes before the movie starts. Nice comfortable seats, but not as nice as the private seating in Seongsu, but those costs around 40,000 won compared to the ones here around 18,000 won. Prices were reasonable, a bottle of water and Coke just cost 3,000 won - at vending machine or ordering at the counter.

I recommend this theater if you are nearby. There are no shortage of choices when it comes to movie theaters. But some are much better than others and this is a rear example of a very nice Korean theater. Initially, I was very confused by the layout of the theater. I visit a lot of theaters in the US and I am a regular patron of AMC theaters. These layouts are always similar enough for getting around. At this one, you buy the ticket in person or at one of the numerous kiosks and just proceed to your theater upstairs. I don’t know how they stop Non paying movie goers. Theoretically, none popular movies, you can sneak in as long as you sit I’m unpopular locations inside that theater. I have been here 4 times and no one has checked my tickets. But because all seats are designated, it could pose issues for people sneaking in.
Also, the concessions are priced reasonably compared to the US prices. I always buy drinks and popcorns and consider this to be part of the experience. But the nice part is that there is an Emart convenience store attached to the theater and you can buy whatever you want there and take it in. No need to hide it. I don’t see signs indicating this to be against any theater regulations. But I still prefer the theater popcorn.
English menu on the kiosk are very straight forward and easy to use. Pay attention to dubbed vs subbed movies. I almost selected dubbed by accident once and this is somewhat easy to do.

This is one of the best cinemas that I've gone to in years. The 4DX cinema was clean and spacious. It was easy to find and exit. Definitely will return soon.

This is nice movie theater complex inside shopping mall. Many restaurants and chances to buy pop corn and other snack.

One of the theaters is so called 3D 4DX where you watch movie thru 3D glasses and seats are moving etc. I watched movie Alita, Battle Angel. 3D Alita movie was very good but this moving chair thing not so nice. This time I chose front row with extra legroom which was good. Temperature in the theater was too warm and I started to feel dizzy and uncomfortable similar to shaking city bus. Wind effect was nice. For visitors 4D theater is good to experience once. Personally next time I will pick same movie in 3D but IMAX screen.

Overall CGV theater is good and large like one at COEX. Bigger and more spacious and not so many people like in Yongsan CGV. Yeongdeungpo is only some 6km from the city center but atmosphere is more relax. Quite different than Gangnam station area or City center.

I visited the bookpark at the Blue Square last Saturday. It’s huge with a separate vip/lounge floor. There are thousands of books and interesting sitting spaces. There is a cafe on the second floor with a lot of sitting space as well as a sitting area on the balcony. The only thing that I found strange was that there are no bathrooms on the second floor so you must go up to the 3rd or down to the first. There was a huge line up on the first floor due to its close proximity to the theatre and a coffee shop. Thus, I suggest you use the ones on the 3rd floor. I haven’t been to any shows at the Blue Square but I am sure I will in the near future.
I ate lunch at the restaurant on the first floor but the eggplant cheese/egg dish wasn’t too tasty. I found it greasy and not too flavorful. If I ever come back, I will try something else.

I wanted to see the first, opening night of "The First Man" whilst in Seoul and decided to go to the Lotte Cinema to watch it. The concierge in my hotel made my reservation (using her own credit card to book on line) and I then picked up the ticket at the theatre once having established on which floor my particular screen was located. I tried printing out the ticket from one of the machines using the booking number but wasn't successful. No problem. The friendly young ladies at the ticket desk found my booking and issued my ticket for me.

The screen itself was what you'd expect in any such modern complex. Excellent sound, picture quality, comfortable seats with plenty of legroom. The only annoying thing was the constant chomping of popcorn in my ears from all angles.

It's a movie theater. Better than most movie theaters I've been to. But this is nothing special. I watch Avengers here and it obviously had Korean subtitles. I love how everyone was laughing before I did because they read the subtitles before the characters actually said the funny line.

    Good movie theater

I had to check out what this 4Dx is all about and I picked the CGV Cheongdam theatre. I was amazed! I watched Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom on 25 June 2018 at 1420h. There was a lot of scenes that pops out at you so this experience is perfect for all of that!! lol!! I'd say do your research what is 4Dx is all about then go and see a movie in one of these theatres. You won't be dissapointed! Oh, and parking is available underground. CGV is sharing parking lot underground with Horim Museum. 5,000 won per hour though so it's pretty pricey.

CGV is Megabox, two giant movie theatre chains in Korea, have overtaken cinema industry in Korea. These multiplexes each have 10+ theatres in one location and yet, most of them are full of blockbusters. Many art movies or Oscar contending movies, are usually not available in those places. Cinecube is one of a few independent theatres in Seoul where they screen those good in-the-monority type of movies. There are only two screens here, and obviously seats numbers are very small and limited, but that only makes the whole experience much better. If you are getting sick of what the multiplexes are throwing at you, and you're wanting to see those real good movies, not only in english but also in french, spanish and whatnot, check out this place. One of the good thing about this place is you can almost always get a ticket on sight without making a reservation beforehand. Enjoy!

Perfectly located on the main st of Myundong with plenty to do and see before and after the movie. The theatre was very clean, comfortable seating and a local favorite.

    Definitely worth the visit 👍🏻

On Wednesdays and Sundays during the month of August, 2018, four selected Lotte Cinemas are screening the Royal Ballet's live performance of Manon filmed at the Royal Opera House, London, 07 March 2018. A friend and I had a wonderful experience when we attended one of these screenings on Korea's Liberation Day, 15 August. The film was shown in Lotte's Charlotte Premium Seating small theater located inside the Konkuk University Lotte Cinema complex. Prior to attending we had been feeling a little disgruntled over the 40,000W charge for the ticket - usually at other theaters special screenings of live opera or ballet cost 30,000W. Well, we were pleasantly surprised and quickly stopped quibbling about the cost. Charlotte premium seating has a special sliding door entrance to a comfortable air conditioned lounge with cinema staff in attendance to look after movie-goers. We presented our tickets and were asked to choose a complimentary drink and were also given complimentary vouchers for another film at a general Lotte Cinema. We entered the theater and found our great big armchair seats smelt of real leather. The little table on the arm of each seat had a complimentary bottle of chilled water and the theaterette was super airconditioned - thank goodness! Once we were comfortably seated staff brought our drinks plus a snack of a packet of biscuits.
I have back problems so was delighted to find the luxury seat could be comfortably adjusted for my back and legs, it was very, very good. I found this was the most enjoyable way imaginable to watch a film - it couldn't have been better - I can't wait to go there again, it was absolutely worth the money we paid .... especially in contrast to my unpleasant experience at World Tower Lotte Cinema - Hall 16 when I attended another Royal Ballet screening last year for 30,000W in an unpleasant, strongly-musty-smelling small theater with no complimentary drinks or snacks - at the end of the film my nose had still not got used to the horrible dank smell!
Thank you Lotte Cinema Konkuk University Entrance for the excellent facilities and service - a really super experience!!!
For Arts-lovers ... I brought home a programme from Charlotte with information on future movie screenings in 2018 from the Royal Opera House, London; the Nutcracker Ballet will be screening in November, Liam Scarlett's new Swan Lake ballet in December, Bizet's opera Carmen in September and Verdi's(?I think) MacBeth in October.
