This place is huge. Be prepared to walk a lot and bring water as you will be in the sun. They offer English tours so best to check ahead and time your visit with the tours, otherwise you will be walking around looking at old buildings which can be pretty boring w/o hearing the back story.

Lots of shops, restaurants, and food vendors. Definitely a must go area. In terms of shopping, other areas are cheaper (Namdaemun) but this place is cleaner and more similar to Western shopping areas with less haggling involved.

An intersting place to visit. It consists mainly of scenically laid out, empty buildings. If you do not know the history it will probably seem underwhelming. I suggest doing reseach beforehand or joining one of the tours. Free entry if you are wearing a hanbok. These can be hired for two or four hours from local stores. Good bus service. There are toilets and a cafe that only seems to sell drinks. There is a larger cafe outside the palace. There is a small gift shop. Tickets need to be purchased from the ticket office on the left hand side or from the ticket booths directly outside.
The palace has a secret garden, which you have to pay extra to visit. It is accessible by guided tour only and these are done in different languages, so make sure you book the right one. The tour is informative and lasts 70-90 minutes dependent on weather. The tickets sell out quickly so it is worth pre=booking on-line. The gardens were stunning and well worth a visit.
Staff were all helpful. Everthing was very clean, including the toilets.

Touristy street with some interesting handicrafts and souvenirs. There is a relatively new shopping block nestled within the street - it has a huge Kakao & Friends store at its entrance. The 4-storey building with graffiti is also interesting.

This place is huge. We visited because we needed something to do during a rainy day. So we went to the aquarium and walked around the mall. Lots of great places to eat that are very affordable.

We did not go to the tower since it was rainy and the view was not great. On a sunny day though, I'm sure it would be a great place to see.

We took a train and then a bus to get here. Once you hop off the bus there is still a failry decent uphill walk involved. Lots of greenery and the view was worth it. Seoul is an awesome city to look down on and i would recommend doing this and Seoul Sky at Lotte world tower as they both offer jawdropping vistas even if the Lotte World view point is higher.

We walked part of the stream on our way from Changdeokgung Palace to City Hall. As a tourist, not something you’d make a special trip to see but worth walking through if you’re in the area.

I took off my shoes and sat inside to meditate. Two monks came and began chanting. It was a lovely experience, although construction nearby was jarring at times. It is right in the center of activity in Seoul, and I found the Bongeunsa temple with its forests and walking paths to be more peaceful. Still, this place is worth a visit for its lovely architecture, colors, and cultural experiences.

Also notable: I walked here from Gyeongbokgung Palace. I'd recommend combining the two of them.

A peaceful place. The statue area alone was worth the visit. It is a place of worship so you do need to be respectful. You should only use the entrances to the left and right of the Buddist hall. The centre door is reseved for the monks and nuns.

This is a very scenic place to visit and lots of picture opportunities. Worth a visit but we aware that streets are tiny and you will need to walk up hill.

The atmosphere! All I can say is go! Food, fashion, buskers, shopping, music and more. Home to the fashionable University crowd. Loved it. Get lost, walk and enjoy it. Buzzing. Go on a Saturday afternoon, early evening as this is when it comes to life the most. Everything is good natured and safe. I was a solo female traveller. Post C-19, Korea has only just opened up again. Other areas are still recovering but this area appears way ahead and back to normal!

Yes, the structure is stunning. Amazing architecture. Great atmosphere and lot's going on. However, expected more in terms of exhibitions. This changes throughout the year. Some boutique shops inside and eateries. I just think they could have made better use of the indoor space. Clean and well kept. Definitely recommend going.

From Dongdaemun subway station, it was approx.15-min walk to market. We went on Jan.1, and the market was busy, packed with people. There were some stalls closed, but many were still open. Market has lots of food options, and things to buy, so you can spend hours there!

This is the best way for a visitor to fully appreciate the magnitude of Seoul. We viisited Namsan tower and Seoul sky. I would rate this a must do for the views. It is like many other tall buildings around the world in regards to its glass floor walkout where you can look directly below but it certainly packs a wow factor due to the size of Seoul.
