- JishDubai, United Arab Emirates106 contributionsThis was a life time experience. I travelled from Dubai to Tblisi. Visa is not needed for Indians and all you need is emirates ID and your passport. That’s it. The check in at the airport was easy. Not too many questions asked. Just the ID and your name. But I have seen some of the travelers are being interrogated by the airport police in Georgia. Anyway I had a friend in Tblisi , so it was easy for me to roam around. The rooms very easy to find and the prices are affordable. Good rooms , neat and the apartment owners were kind. The old Tblisi is beautiful, the bridge looks stunning in the night with lights. We took a cable car to the top of the mountain where you can see the whole old Tblisi town and the statue at the top. That was a nice experience. The food is delicious , especially khin khali, their special food. I had this enough during my trip. The old style city is so nice to have a walk in the morning. You don’t find a real breakfast place, but there are lot of resto bars for dinner. Tried all the food and the Georgian wine as well. The people are welcoming and so kind. I used taxi for traveling through an app. It was cheaper than direct taxis. City has an ancient ambience and everything there looks beautiful. It’s a must visit place atleast once. There is new Tblisi as well. Visited both the sides of the town. There are churches in the town. You can see Lot of castles in Georgia. An amazing unforgettable experience.Written January 23, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Co N99 contributionsHowever, it's worth swinging on the rope, especially for the younger ones, and I'd advise taking the stairs downhill on the way back to feel the warmth of the magnificent fort walls enclosing the summit.Written January 1, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Suzan Greg (Armenia Private Tours)Yerevan, Armenia78 contributionsThe location is perfect for the city view. Women must cover heads for entering the church. Can get there by cable car, by car or walk. Mother Georgia statue is nearby. Again a beautiful view to the city. Very busy during the tour season.Written January 28, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

From here, you get a breathtaking panoramic view of Tbilisi, making it a must-visit spot.
One of the highlights was taking the train up to the restaurant—it was a unique and fun experience. We tried some of their dishes, and both the food and service were good.
Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Tbilisi!Written February 9, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Nubar JBaku, Azerbaijan25 contributionsThe Gabriadze clock has a very unique design and looks very charming. That would be all if we hadn't caught it at a very good time. Every hour an angel comes out and rings the bell. I witnessed this at 11 am and heard someone say that at 12 pm there will be a longer show on the clock so I came back to view it. There was the show "Circle of Life" with marionette figures inside of the clock and it was very cute 5 minute show. There was the cafe of theatre nearby which also looked nice but didn't enter. You can watch a show inside as well but have to book tickets which I didn't so I didn't enter.Written January 19, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Vaishali LimayePune, India173 contributionsWe drove up the hill with our guide George. This place is scenic and gives a good panoramic view of the city below. it has very well landscaped gardens. We also visited the restaurant there which has a seating overlooking the city below. This is the place where we had Ponchuki (Russian desert) and got hooked on to it! We packed a few to carry it back to India :)Written September 13, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Richard BEdinburgh, UK5,534 contributionsA beautiful garden sitting behind the Mother of Georgia statue. The botanical gardens sit in an area that can best be described as a small valley with a river running through with its own waterfall. The gardens have designated walkways that are paved with a natural flow meandering from top to bottom.
Probably best to enter the garden from the top (near the Mother of Georgia) statue and walk down. A little easier than walking up.
There is a bamboo garden, Japanese garden and local flora too. For a small fee of 4 GEL for the entrance, a city sanctuary awaits.Written November 8, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Mike WPalo Alto, CA86 contributionsWe recently did a comprehensive private walking tour of old Tbilisi, together with some highlights of the Soviet era. Levan was our guide and kept us entertained throughout the afternoon with his deep knowledge and interesting perspective on Tbilisi and Georgian history. He was also very flexible to include some of the key stops in his Soviet era tour (Stalin printing press and Georgian Parliament). We would strongly recommend this tour to other visitors seeking an overview of key sights in the old city and to get some initial orientation around the maze of streets in Tbilisi old town.Written February 5, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
