- An Average ReviewerSingapore, Singapore95 contributionsEasy to use and navigate the metro. Credit/Debit card (visa/mastercard) were offered as an option for payment mode for the turnstills. We used the Metromoney Card which, cost 2 Lari each and could be bought at the counter in the station. There are signages in Georgian and English. Waiting times were not long.
The ride on escalators were fast and long. I think the ride on the escalator is longer than the ride from Liberty Square to Avlabari 😅 (based on my experience)
I think photography in the station isn't allowed but I took some photos anywayWritten October 30, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We have a daughter in a wheelchair (who can walk short distances so could climb in and out of the car) and we booked Eric from Gotrip. We were worried as the site said he only spoke Russian and we only spoke English but Eric was fantastic. He used Google to translate and was a good guide and a really helpful driver. He helped to fit the wheelchair (which could be dismantled) and was mindful throughout the 4 hours he spent with us. The car was comfortable and clean and he had kindly provided bottles of water. Thank you Eric. We strongly recommend using him. He also has experience of taking other people with disabilities around Georgia!Written September 24, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - 5fortravelSan Francisco238 contributionsDoes Karlo really need another 5-star review? No, But it would be unfair not to leave one. We’ve been to nearly a hundred countries and only a few guides really stand out in our memories. Karlo will be one of them. Karlo took us on a city tour of Tbilisi. The tour featured a little outdoors, a little history, some culture, some religion. Karlo provides interesting commentary, certainly about average for a guide. But there are three uncommon things. First, he takes great pictures, not surprising for a former TV cameraman. Second, he’s sharp and insightful in a funny way. Finally, he knows how to consider other people, for example, letting us wait in the shade on a hot day while he waited in line for us. You get the idea. So, if you are not a package traveler looking for an independent guide, Karlo’s your guy.Written August 25, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Deepak DevarajanQatar5 contributionsI had a Georgia trip last week and I would like to highly recommend Mr. Beka as a tourist guide. His extensive knowledge of Georgia’s history and culture, paired with his infectious enthusiasm, made my trip truly memorable. He tailored the itinerary to my interests, ensuring every detail was perfect. From exploring ancient caves to savoring local cuisine, each experience was thoughtfully planned.
Mr. Beka's friendly and approachable nature made the journey even more enjoyable. He went above and beyond to make sure I had an exceptional time, offering great recommendations for restaurants and hidden gems.

- Johnny TNewcastle upon Tyne, UK108 contributionsRemember to tap on and off with credit card or transport card bought from metro stations. If you don’t, your card is blocked! Transport is cheap, less than £1 per ride. You can easily get from airport to city on 337. You can also use the fabulous cable car in sane way, only £2.50ish. Watch your step, everywhere in Tbilisi health and safety is not good and very few speak English. They are great people and the ones who helped us were absolutely lovely.Written October 21, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - WashingtonJonDCWashington DC, DC882 contributionsI used this company for a tailored tour of places I was interested in visiting in Chiatura and other additional places and they perfectly delivered. I had Goga as my guide and had a great time with him- he was good company, nice, pleasant, and a safe driver.
I also used this company for pick-up and transfer to the airport and they were always on time. I also corresponded before I arrived and they always responded on time.Written October 23, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The first time I used the service I did not have lari on me and the driver found me the exchange kiosk with the best rate (that was back in August 2022). Other times I have travelled arriving with a lot of baggage so it was great to have assistance with lugging as baggage carts are not always easily found inside TBS airport. Meeting up with the driver immediately means that you are spared solicitations from freelancers who would like to drive you to your destination; warding them off is a nuisance. Other services may be cheaper but you will have to pay in lari to the driver directly and the service may not include "meet and greet" and then you will have the added task of contacting the driver using airport WiFi with a view to arranging where to meet outside the exit of the Airport; in my experience, this is a time-waster better avoided.
I have also used the service going from the hotel (city center to Tbilisi) to the Airport multiple times. I could go cheaper with an app-based ride but I like the security of arranging the trip back to the Airport in advance. This tends to be a bit less smoother in execution than travelling to hotel from airport with the driver coming either on-time, before time or a bit after time -- all a bit of a crap-shoot. The first time I used the service to the Airport the driver parked quite far from the hotel on accounf of "road work" in September 2022 but the real reason was that he went up the wrong road and the hotel was on a one-way street, which he inadvertently approached the wrong way. The upshot was lugging luggage 50 meters uphill. (That wouldn't have been a great issue but for my spraining my ankle that summer.) My latest trip with Popular Taxi, as of December 29, 2023, from the hotel to TBS airport , was flawless and without hitches; hence the five-star rating.Written January 11, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The drive was very smooth and the driver was friendly. We felt no pressure at all to hurry and the driver offered to stop at many good foto locations.
The monastery itself is amazing and extremely well maintained. The ride was as comfortable as could be, given the quality of the road and the guys are friendly and hard working. The only point of improvement could be the start. A clear trip advisor symbol on the car would help as well as the correct phone number.
All in all very good value for money and definitely recommended.Written August 19, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The pace of the tour was good and our guide great. Thank you!Written June 7, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - AngeloAlphen aan den Rijn, The Netherlands5 contributionsStop looking at your phone to look for highlights!!!
Laurent, the driver awaited us in front of the hotel. We took a bottle of wine with us. He drove us around for 2.5 hours and we saw all of Tbilisi. All the backstreets. The best restaurants. The best hideouts for young people to relax. Every highlight with time to visit and the best underground bars.
Laurent didnt mind to stop anywhere to take a picture in the middle of the street or taking a moment to visit a church or other highlight. And Laurent knows a lot... i mean a lot about Georgia.
Every corner keeps getting better. Narrow streets, to the old city, up in the mountains to see the beautifull skyline.
I've been travelling a lot in the world, but this trip is truly of one my best experience ever. Thank you Laurent.
