- Richard BEdinburgh, UK5,410 contributionsA beautiful garden sitting behind the Mother of Georgia statue. The botanical gardens sit in an area that can best be described as a small valley with a river running through with its own waterfall. The gardens have designated walkways that are paved with a natural flow meandering from top to bottom.
Probably best to enter the garden from the top (near the Mother of Georgia) statue and walk down. A little easier than walking up.
There is a bamboo garden, Japanese garden and local flora too. For a small fee of 4 GEL for the entrance, a city sanctuary awaits.Written November 8, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. This is, apparently, where the world’s first children railway was opened! Park opened in 1830s by Mir-Fatah-Agha, an Iranian cleric that was exiled from Tabriz! But when you go there, it’s just a small amusement park. We went there in the evening when it had gotten dark, so it was almost a dead amusement park.
But frankly, I went there for my small boy, and I don’t think he would have cared much if the historical aspects of it were more on display. He enjoyed the rides, and we all probably appreciated that it wasn’t crowded, so we didn’t have to be in queue for any ride.Written January 8, 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Has some Instagrammable spots as well. Nice to visit with friends and children. There are also some cafes nearby but I have never been there.Written June 9, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
