- arvind1000Pune, India2,685 contributionsTbilisi has its share of cathedrals ( orthodox and Armenian), and at least one synagogue and mosque. The mosque is the old Town close to sulphur and thermal baths and enroute to the waterfallWritten April 21, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Gee DTel Aviv, Israel174 contributionsA faster route than shows on googlemaps is to walk on loseb Grishashvili street past the sulphur baths and turn right onto Firdousi Street which becomes Gertsel Bazovi Street. At the end of Gertsel, you will feel as though you are entering someone’s yard, but just follow the path and the steps leading up. On the way, you’ll notice a couple of small blue signs attached high on the wall directing you to the monastery.Written April 24, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Gogi KTbilisi, Georgia4 contributionsThe parliament of Georgia is located in the city center of Tbilisi, the capital city of Georgia. The best way to get there depending on where you are is to get to the closest subway station and come out on Liberty Square. Tip for the first time travelers: Every subway station in Tbilisi has a service cabin where you can get a card to travel by subway.Written June 18, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Teresa CMetro Manila, Philippines1,615 contributionsLike many of the places of worship throughout Georgia, this is a functioning one. Gorgeous works of art, sand filled trays with candles and serious reverence practised. Beautiful.Written September 8, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- mcmonScotlandGirvan, UK799 contributionsLike a lot of old walled cities, the remnants of the walls are incorporated into newer buildings. In Tbilisi they have some areas where archaeological digs have exposed walls, some sections have buildings constructed on top of or within the walls and there are a few sections of wall that have been restored and preserved. Overall, it gives a good sense of the history of the city while relating to the future as the city continues to change. The traffic along the street adjacent to the wall is relentless. There are some great restaurants and cafes in the area but sitting outside is neither peaceful nor relaxing.Written February 25, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - beetcannerSouthern Nevada788 contributionsWalk around Europe Square. It is the heart of Old Town. See Wine Uphill or Rise, translated to English from Georgian. Take a gander at the Botanical Gardens, Gura River, and Metekh Church (no frescoes inside) and sit at one of the cafes for a glass of Georgian wine. Camera a must.Written July 25, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
