Since Kyaiktiyo appears in the book "500 Sacred Places of the World", we couldn't pass up the opportunity to visit the day before our regular Myanmar tour.
Our driver picked us up promptly at our hotel at 6 a.m. accompanied by our guide Maggie in our own private vehicle. Along the way we stopped for a delicious breakfast at a roadside establishment and the traditional mohinga was perfect.
We enjoyed passing local towns and their morning markets in full swing.
The Golden Rock is certainly a sight to see and the bumpy truck ride up the hill was lots of fun sharing with the locals and laughing children.
On the return trip, Maggie catered to my wife's special request to see elephants at the Winga Baw Conservation Camp....what a beautiful surprise!
Lunch at another roadside place was fantastic with a nice farm fresh spread. We even stopped at a fruit stand to taste some of those incredible pomelos.
We surely appreciated the special care and personal attention that was given to us on this adventure which was well worth it.
Thanks Maggie for a memorable day!

Karen and our driver were great. They showed us all around the city, and a couple of places that were on the agenda that we had already seen were swapped out for alternate destinations with no difficulty (even though I am sure it messed up their planned schedule)

The knowledge of the sites and her expert photo taking both added a huge amount to what was already a great trip.

    Highly recommended.

I found this tour in tripadvisor and start contact them on Whatsapp. The response is quick and nice. Our guide, Mu, pick us at the airport. His knowledge about places are excellent. His English is easy to understand. The tour is customized to our need. We get to go inside more pagodas. All pagodas are unique and elegant. The tour upgrade us to Alphard, which is so comfortable. This tour is great if you are thinking about seeing Yangon in one day. I think I will be back to go to other places with them. Myanmar is beautiful with lots of historic places.

PS. Mu bring us to the famous market and let us walk around by ourself. He never try to sell us anything.

Yoma Cherry Lodge is the jewel in the crown of Ngpali Beach. The beautifully appointed spacious ensuite rooms with balconies surround a lush garden through which guests walk past a very attractive swimming pool to the beachfront restaurant bar and sun loungers in this long unspoilt bay The charming staff speak fluent English and delicious food is served in the restaurant. There is a thriving and very friendly village within easy walking distance as well as a small fishing community.

Both train experience and taste of local food is good. I can feel local Yangon people’s life on the train and it is really cozy to travel with the train. Also tour explain lots of info to us during the visit at local market and local food shop. However, if you want to try Yangon circular railway line, this tour is not by this line. But it is still good enough fo me. Strongly recommend this tour to all of you.

We are a group of 6 seniors who just returned from Myanmar. Our tour was booked through Good Life Myanmar Travels and Tours. Thanks to Kaung Myat Oo, our trip was very well organized and we got to see all the highlights we wanted to see. The hotels were great despite the summer brownouts. Our best guides were our Bagan guide and our Inle guide – thank you. Myanmar local food is quite delicious and everyone should sample them

Great tour, great guide! We learned so much in the morning tour and it was perfect for our trip. There were a lot of nice touches that i feel were unique to this tour. The breakfast - awesome! We never could have found that ourselves. There were also fun extra parts such as buying fruit for the monks and giving it to them, getting fish food to feed the fish for good luck, etc. The best part was if we were curious about something (ie: the food markets) our guide took us there on our walk no problem! Totally off the "script" but an awesome addition and very kind that they altered it to our interests. Learned a ton and beautiful tour!

Kakku Pagoda is located about 65kms away from Nyang Shwe and is reachable by motorbike (it will take you about 1h45 to drive there). The drive itself is quite interesting and will make you cruise through the Burmese country side.
Another option is to take a taxi to bring you there.

Once you have reached the pagoda you will quickly realize how peaceful and quite it is. Here no big group of tourists, only a few locals who come to pray/visit the place.

The place itself is fantastic! it gathers more than 2000 stupas each of them having a few belt attached to the top. This gives the place a very mystical and magical vib. Here not only your eyes will be amazed, you will also enjoy the mesmerising melody of the thousands belts changing rhythm with the wind.

Highly recommanded for those who want to escape the crowd of Nyang Shwe and experience a "soul touching" place.

They crafted personal myized travel itineraries that perfectly matched our interests, showcasing hidden gems around Yangon. The extensive knowledge of local attractions was impressive, and we felt like we were truly immersed in the culture. Their attention to detail and commitment to sustainable tourism resonated with us. Plus, the competitive pricing made it all the more appealing. We can't recommend E-Travel Myanmar enough for seeking an unforgettable adventure!

Went on tour on sunday 1st march on our first day in Yangon. Tried lots of different foods and was a good orientation into what we could expect. especially loved the tea leaf salad there was so much food couldnt have eaten another thing. Would never have found all the places on our own. Not only did we learn about Yangon but also about Myanamar generally. No hesitation in recommending.
