What travelers are saying
- stevebintleyBedford, UK9,144 contributionsA great spot in the city which everyone should visit. I didn’t find it too busy on a weekend morning, so don’t let the prospect of crowds put you off. There’s loads of monuments throughout the area to admire, meaning there’s much more to appreciate than the view. Which is of course incredible! The market at the rear has plenty of souvenir choices and the food options have plenty of choice including traditional favourites. It felt a safe area all the time I was there and I’d classify as a “must-visit”!Written January 13, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Travelaround59London, UK2,053 contributionsOur hotel (Hip and Trendy according to our travel agent!) happen to be in this area so we walked around and is a very nice area with galleries and bars and restaurants and an overall nice vibe. I think is nice to stay in a different area from the more touristy just to try to get the feeling of a city.Written February 20, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Graham CampbellWashington DC, DC247 contributionsThis is an oasis of beauty and calm in Bogota, where it seems horns are the official soundtrack of the city. It's incredibly cheap to enter and there's plenty of places to sit and relax. The rose garden was beautiful and all of the grounds are incredibly well kept. Just know there's very little English translation, but it's pretty plants and trees so it's not as crucial.
Tip: Entry to the park is very cheap. There's a significant upcharge for the Tropicario which is a building with 6 different biodomes of different plants. You can skip this. It's fine, but we didn't think it was worth the upcharge and it's super humid.Written September 25, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. There’s loads of street sellers around but fortunately none are too pushy and there’s a good number of seating options all of which is clean. I’d highly recommend visiting to see sunset, when the buildings are illuminated in a fantastic glow, but at any time of day its a prime spot.Written January 13, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - R. K. V.Bogota, Colombia2,696 contributionsOne of the highlights of bogota- in one of the nicest, most relaxed neighborhoods, find nice things to buy, nice people, good pricesWritten September 18, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - craig_travelerSan Francisco, CA365 contributionsVery high end by and large. Bong expect a budget experience if coming here. The bast aspect in my opinion is the food court on the top floor. Lots of choice and nice outdoor seating areas.Written October 2, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- ksufan88Wichita, KS6,966 contributionsThis museum is located just downhill from the Mount Monserrate cable car station. We were pleased to discover that admission for seniors (60+) was only 2000 pesos (cash only). Simon Bolivar lived in this house a number of times while he was in Bogota, and it has turned into a very nice museum. Each room had signs in both English and Spanish which added details to what we were seeing. The house and grounds are not all that large, and we were able to view everything in 30 minutes.Written December 25, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - DianaDenver, CO2 contributionsWe were pretty lucky to find a bike with a child's seat at our closest Tembici hub. We rode from 70 up to Usaquen in a light sprinkle. It started to rain harder while we were in Usaquen so we tried to wait it out to no avail. We ended up purchasing a poncho and rain jacket at the Hacienda de Santa Barbara mall and rode back down in the rain. It was an awesome experience and we're so happy we got to be there on a Sunday to experience this!Written June 25, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Travelaround59London, UK2,053 contributionsBeautiful cathedral but unfortunately the inside is all covered up with white cloths I suppose for restoration! So I cannot really comment.
The chapel next door instead of was fully visibile in its grandeur: certainly a statement of the wealth of colonial Bogota.Written February 20, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We did not attend Montserrat for that reason- a. our limited interest in creed anthology and the crowds. We still view serenity as a serendipitous event in tourism. Without becoming didactic that is what has been lost through social media, nomadic events and so on. The views of the altiplanic lake which is the setting on the Bogota Savana, the depth of the field and the structure of this town offered excellent vistas. Now the surrounding structures and there state of being is another matter. A different form of poetry of neglect versus poetry of abuse.Written July 25, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - GFEricUtah128 contributionsThis library covers two square blocks, and visitors are welcome to come in for free whenever it is open. It's mostly library but also partly museum; when I was visiting there was a fascinating display about this history of bicycle racing in Colombia.Written October 2, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
