Aracanto was absolutely brilliant at organising our Colombia adventure. We told them what we wanted to see and do they did the rest! Extremely responsive throughout, even at weekends and evenings. The guides were excellent, especially Andres in Medellin and Oscar in Bogotá. Highly recommended.

I just had my Advanced Open Water Diver with Dive & tours and it was a really good experience. Ricardo is very nice and attentive, and a very responsible instructor. He gave me the confidence to go trough the whole course. And all of the staff and students who came with us made the experience really fun! Recommended 100%

    Hi,
My partner and me were travelling around the Cali region and booked a 2 day trip with turismoi to Alto anchicaya, provided by a local travel agency called “travel Guia”. This trip costed 945.000 COP for both of us (approx 200 USD). Before we booked them, we used TURISMOI live chat to make sure if the trip was cancelled by them, they would reinburse the money. This confirmed by them, so we moved forward and booked a trip for the 6th of January on their website.

The day before the trip, someone from turismoi contacted us to inform us that the trip was cancelled because allegedly the zone was not secure. Strangely when we asked for more details, they sent us an outdated news article from august 2021, the was the first red flag we had.

They then suggested to replace our 2 day trip for a much less expensive day trip they had in their website, for the same price. That was the second red flag of them trying to scam us. Therefore, we asked them to reimburse us the money of our trip since they were not able to give us the service we had payed for.

To our surprise they denied and said they could not give us back our money and that we had to choose one of their limited options. I am sharing with the community of travellers to make up your own mind and see the legitimacy of our complain, as well as the receipt. They just stopped communicating with us when we insisted to get the money back. Since we live abroad, we were not ready to jeopardise our vacations for the negligence and bad practice of an agency. We decided to contact a different agency in the area recommended to us by our hotel manager (if interested, we had a great experience with them, they are based in cali, it is Oliveiro Tours).

Essentially turismoi is a big platform that works around the world with local agencies. While we can understand they might have to cancel trips for logistical reasons. However if they are not able to deliver a service, they have legal obligations to reimburse the money to the clients and not impose whatever trip they want at whatever price they consider. Worst experience and really hope this doesn’t happen again.

    Safe travel. 🫶
