It’s the biggest mosque in kuwait located in the Arabian gulf street and it is opened daily morning for the tourists where they will be impressed of the design, arrangement and peacefulness.

A more modern Souk than you might expect. Very spacious and everything you might want to buy. A very courteous environment, with no hassle or pressure. Exceptionally clean, and plenty of places to eat.

Worth visiting. The towers may look small from distance but as you enter the attraction, you will see their massive size. The towers are beautiful and the views from the top are great. The area around towers is amazing as well, definitely, go by the water to grab the shots of water and the towers.

If you are short on time, no worries, you can visit the tower in 15-20 minutes. Don't plan to spend more than an hour as there isn' t much there. There is a cafe on the observation deck and part of the floor does move in 360 degrees - its kind of cool.

Tip - buy your souvenirs in the gift shop at the Kuwait Towers. The souvenirs are much better quality and cheaper than the airport here. Alternatively, get your souvenirs at the Souq Al-Mubarakiya

I love going to this mall, parking is outside and convenient. The grocery store is located in the basement, stores and on the ground and second floor, the foodcourt which is small but clean, green, prices are great as well. I love this mall very similar to the newer mall in Fahaheel called Al Kout Mall which I also love to stroll and eat.

It is hard to summarize this one. The Italo-Kuwaiti woman, now in her 80s, who designed the outside and inside of the house with mirror mosaics is remarkable and excited to show off her work. The more photos you take, the better she likes it. This really is a fascinating sight, not to be missed.

On my walk along the Arabian Gulf Street I passed by several architecturally fascinating buildings, most of them inspired by Islamic design. The first structures, coming from the north, were very much in traditional exterior forms such as the Souq Sharq, the Fish Market, the Grand Mosque, the Seif Palace. Further on they became more modern, although still with an Arabic Islamic influence, such as the National Assembly by Jörn Utzon or then the Sheikh Jabed Al-Ahmad Cultural Centre.

Again I only had the chance to admire the structure, inaugurated in 2016, from the outside. In fact, there were four differently shaped structures close to each other like pieces of precious stones with a very decorative geometrical design pattern. The exterior was all shiny thanks to titanium panels that were covering the concrete, steel and glass interior.

The Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Cultural Centre, honouring the Emir. who ruled from 1977 to 2006, is dedicated mainly to the performing arts, while the other Cultural Centre in town, named after Sheikh Abdullah Al-Salam, is more of a Museum for the Sciences.

To arrive there, you need a taxi, but after visiting this amazing museum you'll be super satisfied !!! It's in a villa, the home of the owners, now death, that in all their life collect many and many objects of islamic art; like jewels, musical instruments, arab books, clothes and many, many others. Don't lose it or you will regret it !!! Ivanromeo.

The Sadu House Museum in Kuwait City is small - located in an old house - but if you are interested in the very beautiful traditional Bedouin weaving culture, it is interesting. They have examples, of course, of this old weaving art, but there is also a very good film on how it is made and the culture expressed in the designs. I enjoyed my visit. In the gift shop you can buy pieces of sadu made by local women and, after that, there is a very pleasant little café with good coffee run by a group of very friendly young men from Africa!

An activity I enjoyed in Kuwait City was a visit to the Central Fish Market between the Dhow Harbour and the Sharq Shopping Mall. It is located in an attractive building evoking traditional desert architecture. In the interior the walls have special decorations.

Naturally it smells in a fish market, but overall it is a clean place with information boards in Arabic and English, with toilets, first aid and restaurants. All kind of fresh fish is for sale at the various stalls, also some sepia, big shrimps and quite big crabs. What I didn't see were lobster, octopus, calamari and every kind of molluscs.
