Climbing Damavand was a terrific experience, a memory to last a lifetime. I can’t thank Ali (Cheetah’s co-founder and CEO) and Mehrdad (Cheetah’s CXO) – both very experienced mountain guides – enough for this trip!
After two days of acclimating and trekking up to Bargah-e Sevom – the southern shelter at 4200m – we decided to approach the summit the following day. Despite variable weather conditions, which are expected in early June, we pushed through and reached the summit before noon. Ali and Mehrdad, through their immense experience, ensured a safe journey all the way up (and down). I highly recommend this trek to anyone wanting to explore higher terrain, as the atmosphere up there is truly magical, and I couldn’t think of better people to experience it with.
In the evening, we enjoyed the hot springs in nearby Larijan village and were treated to some of the best kebabs I had tasted during my time in Iran.
