Persepolis is amazing, I was step on guide there for about 5 years and now I organise special excursions for Persepolis, Necropolis, Pasargade and Shiraz attractions. If you want to have a great experience of visiting Persepolis, be sure use of a local guide to have a detailed explanations.

The price of admission was a little high, but still a great place to visit while in Tehran. The architecture inside and out was great to see and there was also some nice art as well.

This place is the largest holy shrine in the world. Magnificent to visit. Just one point that the non muslims are not allowed to go around the holy grave of Imam Reza but they can visit the rest of the place.

Crazy, outrageous, badly lit but it would be silly not to devout 45 minutes to this unique collection of jewels. Staff was not too eager to give us a tour and it was ok as we got more time for ourselves. Only opened afternoons 2.30 to 4.30. No photos allowed

This magnificent church was built in 1606 AD by Armenian-Iranians who fled from the warzone of Safavid Iran and Ottoman Anatolia into the Iran's then-capital, Isfahan. It is located on Jolfa (named after original Julfa) on the right bank of Zayande Rood. You will find illuminated frescoes done by Armenian craftsmen about Biblical stories, under the huge Islamic-style dome. There is an adjacent museum, mostly dedicated to Armenian heritage and also christianity as a whole; tiniest printed book and words on a piece of hair! Enjoy your time by strolling around Jolfa too.

A great escape from the busy Teheran. Fresh air, mountain views and friendly people. Great selection of local restaurants and shops. About one hour from Old Town Teheran depending on traffic.
