- LolaGo1Washington DC, DC6,632 contributionsDuring my walk around downtown area, I came accross this market. I was surprised to see fresh fruits and vegetables that I generally see in Asia such as huge mangoes, pomegranates, atis, bitter melon, and gourds that are for sale here. Also for sale are spices, fresh meats, cows’feet and ox tails, etc. Noted that vendors here are friendly.
I also saw some live chickens, pigeons, cats, rabbits in cages here. Not sure whether they are being sold as pets or for other purposes. Bought some fruits here to eat at my hotel.Written October 31, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. A nice place to be more familiar with the local people and culture. Simply indulge yourself with this cozy place, live simply, walk or buy anything if you need. Otherwise go back home with many sweet memories.Written July 21, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- zuvBucharest, Romania37,321 contributionsA local farmers market where you can buy vegetables, fruits, meat, spices and other things. Everything has an air of improvisation and hygiene measures are minimal.Written April 12, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - GlainAmman, Jordan13 contributionsFor the first time we went to MISTAKA hoping our dream will come through find cheese (Sheep) matching our French pallet and taste . MISTAKA gave us all this and we could buy cheeses made in Jordan with the taste of France , Roblochon , Valencay , Home made Hallum with perfect taste not salty , Labneh plain or skimmed , fresh yoghourt , tome with peper or plain different textures , Italian Pecorino , crotin and machego etc .
Also clarified butter for cooking etc ... All home made with unbelievable talent we will never buy our cheese the same way we found the supplier we have been looking for for years in Amman . Also Nisreen's talent is not only in cheese making but she can also be a professional dietician , near the Orthodox club in Abdun open from 11am to 2pm , thank you Nisreen .Written September 14, 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
