What travelers are saying
- Matt MMuscat, Oman42 contributionsExcellent place to walk around and enjoy the old quarter for shopping. The port has excellent seafood and ice cream options. The views around sunset are wonderful. Bring a camera and enjoy! I know I sure did.Written January 10, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Robyn D10 contributionsIt is so convenient, right in the heart of Tel Aviv near Rothschild next to HaBima Theatre. Call CLILA ahead to be sure of a time slot. Joseph Bau's fascinating story from the Holocaust to Israel is a story of resilience that continues today through Joseph and Rebecca Bau's talented daughters at the Joseph Bau House Museum at 9 Berdichevski St. in Tel Aviv.Written January 5, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - TheShisTel Aviv, Israel43,419 contributionsThe Tel Aviv promenade is an endless road stretching along the gorgeous beach.
It features eateries, hotels, several beaches and a LOT of locals jogging.Written November 30, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Who knew that so and so was Jewish? Great interactive fun stuff for the whole family. Don't miss the Dag Nachash animation on the second floor. After buying a ticket at the counter, there are welcome guides who beautifully explain how to get the most out of the museum. There is also a discount voucher for a return visit because it's almost impossible to experience it all in one day. There is simply so much to see and learn.

- ldjsFort Lee, NJ873 contributionsThe most beautiful part of Tel Aviv, a maze of narrow streets lined with historic buildings, artsy galleries and stores. Many lovely body cafes snd and a number of museums and theater centers.
Lovely area also has old railroad tracks and station.

* The major art museum of Tel Aviv- a major cultural landmark
* Pleasant modern well lit building that is easy to navigate
* It houses impressionist paintings of Claude Monet, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Paul Gauguin, Vincent van Gogh, Camille Pissarro, Edgar Degas, Auguste Rodin and Berthe Morisot
* It exhibits Jewish and Israeli artistic and cultural stuff too, including a large display of unique paintings by Marc Chagall
* There is a senior discount
* It is centrally located in Tel Aviv
* There is parking underneath
* It is not crowded
* Exhibits and projects for children
CONS
* I'm not sure about the connection of the display galleries and the flow of a complete thorough visit
* The cost-=, as compared to London and Washington, where so much is free
"I VISITED THIS PLACE"...
... after I saw a review in the inflight magazine of El Al which described the exhibit commemorating the 150th anniversary of the start of the impressionist movement paintings. That exhibit encompassed a few rooms and was very well done and brightly lit and not crowded.
With the time that we had before closing, we visited some other exhibit rooms and saw the originals of some truly classic paintings of a Hewish theme (see attached photos)>
WAS IT WORTH THE COST?
Yes, especially with the 50% senior discount
WOULD "I VISIT THIS PLACE" AGAIN?
Yes- and I intend to do so for a more thorough visit

The guide was excellent, knowledgeable, passionate and engaging. Excellent, a must visit.Written November 25, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Paul RTeaneck, NJ76 contributionsTuesday at the Nachalat Binyamina closed off street is much quieter than on a Friday. Very different artists showing off their works. Worth an hour. Plan to buy something or a few things! Great for home art, gifts for children and/or grandchildren.Written June 27, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - r0bdanWest Orange, NJ136 contributionsWonderful place to experience. We went to the Basher Fromagerie. An incredible variety of 1200 (so they say!) KOSHER cheeses - not to be found anywhere else on the planet. Amsterdam Fries - simply great French Fries as a snack. Nice places to sit and eat. Bathrooms here too.Written November 16, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Jason SMelbourne, Australia2,665 contributionsEnjoyed the area during the night, great for dining out at one of the many restaurants close by.
With the lights at night port area looks really good and has a great vibe to it, during day not so much.
Certainly one of the main things to do in Tel Aviv.Written June 26, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Recommend seeing the park and doing the ride but find a different bike rental. Terrible service, didn’t check bikes out we had to ask for air, my seat kept falling down and to top it off, we had to leave our drivers license behind. We returned the bikes, paid and failed to retrieve our DL. Didn’t realize it until in taxi 30 minutes away. Store guy was too busy smoking and visiting w friend to think a minute about work. Clearly we had a bad experience! Don’t rent bikes here!!Written June 8, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - NoraatcSudbury, MA40,666 contributionsHustling and bustling shopping street, not too interesting, unless you want to shop. There are some nice restaurants though and, if you have a sweet tooth, there nice small cafes selling ice cream, sweets, pastries and strong Turkish coffee.Written May 10, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jeffry bEssendon, Australia13,741 contributionsThe Yitzak Rabin Center is located in Tel Aviv. It is a library, museum and research center. It commemorates the life and death of Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin (1922-1995). He has become a symbol of peace in the Middle East. The site of Yitzhak Rabin's assassination is in Rabin Square, in downtown Tel Aviv. You can reflect on the sad death of a visionary who did much for his people.Written October 29, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
