Free tickets to enter but you have to book in advance (the night before was fine). You pay for car parking. Excellent exhibition, in chronological order, especially the videos of holocaust survivors talking about their experiences. So much to read you could spend all day here but we spent 2 hours. Our teenagers also found it interesting and it’s so important for everyone to understand what happened as it helps you understand the whole background to the current nation of Israel. Nice museum shop and amazingly landscaped gardens, sculptures and architecture.

Unlike many museums that crowd their artefacts into the space, This Museum has the benefit of being recently built with ample space for visitors to appreciate the exhibits.
The collection of course has some absolutely remarkable pieces. We visited with high expectations, and certain periods of history in mind but the way that the items we were looking for were displayed and the range of the displays left us in awe.

If we had wanted to look at more periods of Israeli history than we were, a day would not have been enough.

We ate lunch in the restaurant and enjoyed the light but well prepared lunch very much. No long wait in line, so we could get back to what we were there for after a short reflective break.

All in all a very well curated Museum.

We went there twice first in the evening for the light and sound show. This was amazing so worthwhile. It was a really good introduction to the history of the city as well as being stunningly beautiful. We went back the next day in the daytime to explore the tower itself which I would also recommend doing.

What a wonderful time!! It was so relaxing and fun. Ika (the boss) was so kind and helpful. He did a great job of explaining everything. Me and my friend Tara got to sift through rocks from the temple mount. We found glass, and seashells, and bones... It was a wonderful feeling knowing that we were the first one to touch that dirt in a really long time. It's so awesome the way they take their time to sit through every piece to make sure they find it all. :) I highly recommend!!

The owners were such a pleasure to work with. Their store is well organized and filled with so many unique treasures. They made my dreams come true today when I found a widows mite pendant in silver which was what I fell in love with at a different store earlier that day. They gave me an affordable and fair price. Both gentle men were a pleasure to work with. Both are photoed here with my husband. Thanks guys!

Good collection, well thought out and arranged chronologically. It's a nice complement to the Israel Museum nearby.

Very interesting. It would be best if you could join one of their English-guided tours. We joined a Hebrew tour with headphones in English but they weren't set correctly so the Hebrew-speaking guide's voice conflicted with what we were hearing. We didn't realize we could increase the volume until the tour was over. The Hebrew guides were unfamiliar with the headphones. Nevertheless, we were treated very nicely.

An amazing experience led by my knowledge tour guide Shira Esterto learn about Hadassah and the dream of Henrietta Szold to bring healthcare and education to all people. Also, the amazing Chagall windows representing the 12 tribes of Israel and biblical love, friendship and peace among all people.

Ammunition Hill was a strategic Jordian stronghold guarding the northern approach to the Old City. In the morning hours of 6 June 1967, Israeli paratroopers fought a series of fierce close-combat battles with the equally brave and determined Jordian defenders as they worked their way along the trench positions, clearing bunker after bunker, and finally overran this base after a four-hour see-saw battle. Much of the defensive system is well preserved. On the grounds are four vehicles including a Sherman tank and a half-track. The Museum presents the stages of the Battle for Jerusalem in a surreal manner. An excellent site to visit.

Some how, in my all my time spent in Jerusalem, I missed this museum. SHAME on me! Do not let this happen to you. This really is worth making an effort to experience. One of the best museum on Islam I have been to (and I have been to many). Completely unexpected to find on the Western side of Jerusalem.

Was so nice to see so many school children in the museum. Museum was full and it should be. Please find the time to visit.

The entire Israeli Museum in Jerusalem is a day to remember. We went in and out of rooms and exhibitions and would have stayed longer if my legs would allow me to walk through it all. So much to see!

Small but wonderful. Full of rare objects from the late 15th century onwards…

    Really emotional experience.
