    Breathtaking view
    You don't need to do a long hike to see this monastery. There is a side road that takes you up into the hills. A 10-15 minute walk from the parking area enables you to see the whole monastery and Wadi Qelt with wonderful photo opportunities.

    Be sure to add this to your list of places to visit while in Jerusalem! You will not be disappointed. The atmosphere is calming and the view is breathtaking.

    Dinner at the “Y”
    Before discussing dinner, the exterior of the building is wonderful, unlike any other ”Y” that I have ever visited. It is a very short walk (5 minutes) from the Waldorf
    Our dinners and service was a delightful surprise. We enjoyed the chicken pasta and the sautéed shrimp (think scampi without pasta.) The wine list is not robust but we enjoyed our selections.
