Our guide was (at least he said he was) an archaeologist with a specialization in the sites we visited. He evidently knew a lot and had a flair for conveying it. He was a nice guy who, however, should have paid a bit more attention to organizational matters. For instance, we had booked and prepaid for our lunch at Qumran but we had to remind him so that he could provide us with a voucher. All in all, a good experience.

Our tour guide Aviva was great, she shared great stories with us and made the trip very enjoyable and interesting. It was a very warm day so we walked quickly around Matsada to get in the shade where we could. The Dead sea was also a very good experience and it is worth visiting if you haven’t been before.

Something that I couldn’t find in the description was how the pickup works in the morning, a few busses for the tour company goes around and picks up all the guests from the different hotels and takes them to a central point in the park and then the different busses depart from there, once I realised this it was very straight forward.

This time I was alone, as I was here on business, but I’ll do this trip again with my wife next time if we get the opportunity to visit Israel again.

The tour consisted of Aqaba, Wadi Rum (sleep in the desert), and Petra. It was worth every minute there! We had an amazing guide, interesting, fun, approachable, and who enjoyed taking us by surprise us with the most incredible views.
The views were simply mind-blowing. Petra of course was breathtaking as well.
Sleeping in the desert was a wonderful experience, it felt like a luxury camp, and all the stuff was super friendly.
Also, we did not have to worry about crossing the border or anything. Everything was super simple with them.
In addition, this tour doesn't include camel riding, nor any type of riding, which we didn't want (animals rights are not super respected there).
    100% recommended!

I just returned from a great trip to the Middle East which include the Abraham Tour 3 day Petra and Wadi Rum tour. We went from Tel Aviv but it’s the same tour from Jerusalem. They drove us from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem and we picked up the Jerusalem people. It was an absolutely great experience but its worth knowing some things before you go. Our tour actually didn’t go to Wadi Rum because there was a sandstorm. It was a bit disappointing but clearly not the tour operator’s fault. Instead we went to a few other ancient sites which were fine. Petra was absolutely amazing. Staying at the Bedouin camp was great also. The accommodations were quite basic, but clean and comfortable enough and it was fun to sit by the fire and hear music while they served mint tea.

I chose the Abraham tour because it gave a full day in Petra instead of half a day and because it left from a hostel instead of some random address. We decided to stay in a private room at the hostel and it was clean and comfortable, in a great location, and inexpensive so the take off point was perfect and we did value the full day in Petra.

The part of the tour in Israel was poorly done, but the part in Jordan was fantastic. The tour bus picked us up in Tel Aviv. There was no guide. The bus was filthy and overcrowded and there was no place for luggage. It drove us to Jerusalem where we met other people and were put on a bigger bus. This one had space for luggage and was much roomier but was also filthy and in poor repair. They told us how many of us were there and to stay together. The bus brought us to the border with Jordan and dropped us off. We were left to negotiate a rather complicated 3 step process on our own in a facility that was crowded with people who pushed their very large families in front of you in line. There were people with guides who also pushed in front of us. When we finally got through, we waited for our fellow travelers to meet our bus. The driver had no idea how many people there were. Our tour group took care of each other but it was rather odd.

The bus in Jordan was large and clean and comfortable. Once we left the airport we picked up our guide, Nadar. He was great. He got us the rest of the way through the border and took care of us until we left Jordan. He was very informative and gave us lots of useful info.

Beware – going to Petra is a LOT of walking. You walk about 3 miles just to get to the area with the caves and it goes further from there. You have to walk back when you are done and there is lots of walking inside, up and down rocky stairways to see the various buildings. It is well worth it but if you have trouble walking this is not the place for you. You do have an option to take a horse part of the way, a camel part of the way, a carriage pulled by a donkey or a golf cart. You can see the main parts of the site that way, but you won’t be able to go much beyond that. Nadar took us on a tour for the first part of the day and brought us for lunch. Once we finished our lunch we were on our own to explore. There is a 900 step staircase to go to a cathedral in the back. I took a donkey which was quite an experience but ended up being a good choice. Riding instead of walking enabled us to have enough energy to go up from there to the top of the site and also to walk down and still see the caves on the side hills. By the end of the day I was totally spent when we returned to our Bedouin Camp site. The day after Perta we stopped at Mount Nebo, where Moses looked upon Jerusalem after wondering the desert. I didn’t expect much from that but it was really awesome.

Overall I recommend this tour. The guide was great. The sites were unbelievable. The food was good too. The only bad part was the transport from Israel to Jordan.

The tour was a great experience. Jordan is such a nice a diverse country. Our tour guide, Ali, was such a friendly and knowledgeable person. Petra and Wadi Rub are really must-see place. Everything was organized by Abraham tour very smoothly, so easy crossing of the border, great camp to stay for the nights, very nice other travellers. I higly recommand to do the tour if you are in Israel and have some spare days.

There are lots of tours but Chen really knows his stuff. He’s travelled the world but came back to Mitzpe because he loves it here and that passion shows. He will take you on a really interesting tour and bring it to life vividly so you really understand what you see and why it’s there. Recommended.

We were picked up outside Ramon Centre by Eyal. Slightly nervous when I saw his ancient Range Rover but I needn’t have been as the vehicle and his driving skills were up to the tasks, whether driving up or down very steep inclines. We saw breathtaking views, interesting coloured sands as well as discovered which plants were edible.
Eyal was an engaging guy and was very knowledgable. Seeing the crater at dusk was worthwhile.
I would definitely recommend this tour.

We were looking for a half day excursion that still allowed for the majority of the day available for the beach. This was PERFECT. The keep picked us up on time, the jeep itself was such a fun way to get there (we also had a bit that was “off road” which was a blast) the hike was beautiful, a little steep in places and prob not for very old people or small kiddos. The tour guide was knowledgeable and shared information about the topography and plant life that made the hike more special and interesting. I would definitely recommend it.

Wadi Shab is a must-see and not going with Sunshine Tours would be a mistake.

Sunshine Tours operates with immense integrity and kindness. My tour guide brought a backpack and hat for me, and literally took the water shoes off his own feet for me to use when I was struggling barefoot. He was handing out water to random tourists who looked overheated, and gave directions to others who made the mistake of not booking with Sunshine Tours.

This company truly raises the bar and I will absolutely be returning just to book more trips with Sunshine.

I wanted to see Masada and Ein Gedi and the Abraham tour was an ideal way to do so - and being able to get town to Masada before dawn to start the climb was a bonus.

Although an ‘unguided’ tour, our driver actually provided a lot of helpful information along the way.

I would certainly recommend this tour and also the ‘sunrise’ version if you are keen for a stunning start to your day :-)

This trip with Alex was the highlight of my trip to Israel. Alex was full of information, energy and humor. He took his time to explain everything (in 2 different languages) to make sure everyone got the full experience. Alex’s humor and personality are what made the trip. The views and scenery are absolutely out of this world, stops are made to allow pictures. One of the biggest pros is they do hotel pick up, makes everything so much faster and easier. I would recommend alex and his company to anyone and everyone.

We were impressed by the professionalism of the ground and flight crew and felt that we were in good hands. The whole experience was beautiful. Note that the "gourmet breakfast" is really packaged cookies, cake and instant coffee, although that is definitely not the focal point of the experience.

We booked the tour as a private tour with tour guide because of the Corona restrictions. The hike up the snake path to Masada is quite challenging but well worth it as the sunrise was just spectacular. Our guide Noam was both very knowledgeable and fun to be with and he made Masada history really come alive for us. En Gedi with its beautiful waterfalls and the Dead Sea naturally are both stunning locations. All in all we had a brilliant time, and although the private tour was the more expensive option it was absolutely worth it and we can highly recommend it.
