Our hotel, Berjaya was right beside the beach and we had an over-bridge to reach the beach from our hotel (there was a train track under the bridge). There were a few restaurants that were literally on the beach itself.
It's a fairly long beach. There were some watersports activities happening. I remember jet skiing. Me and my boyfriend visited a few shops in Sri Lanka looking to buy pink sapphires and the owners were very pushy and demanding. Not here, from the moment we entered the shop Shazi & Isam were so kind, helpful and patient. They took the time to show us many gems, explain all about them and it is clear to see how passionate they are as well as knowledgeable, true experts in this world. I intended to buy gem stones alone however due to their beautiful nature and the fantastic workmanship shown in their shop I decided to have two custom rings made, one for me and one for my Mother. We had three weeks in Sri Lanka and this was more than enough time for them to make the rings. I was kept updated and sent photos and made feel at ease the whole time. We did not have to make payment until collection either, Islam said “the time you’ve spent here and interest you have shown is your deposit”. How lovely is that? When I returned to collect the rings after our holiday was over in other parts of Sri Lanka I was so pleased to see how beautiful they were. I ended up purchasing another pink sapphire stone alone for a friend. After we’d made payment etc Islam even gave us a free lift home to ensure our purchases were safe. I honestly could not recommend this shop more, thank you so much Islam & Shazi for such beautiful jewellery and wonderful service. We will be back! From the moment you descend the stairs and enter the store you are welcomed as a valued guest. Fazal and his lovely team really listened to what we were looking for and came up with so many sumptuous pieces to look over. We bought three stunning pieces, each unique and perfectly gorgeous.
It can be a bit concerning when buying jewellery far from home; who to trust, who to avoid, so reading the reviews on TripAdvisor helped the decision making process to visit Jewel Qudsi and we could not be happier. On return to home the pieces we purchased have been valued at over double what we paid for them. The valuer said we got a really great buy.

An exceptional attraction was the Safari, which the office organized perfectly. During the trip we were able to learn about the Sri Lankan culture, see the most important sights and taste local food. All this thanks to our wonderful guide Patthum;) We felt perfectly taken care of at all times. Great drinks selection with many fresh ingredients and friendly bartender. - Thu Ha N2 contributionsMy husband and I had a 7-day-self-tour around Sri Lanka in early September 2023. Based on the information from my friend, we booked a car through SLE webpage and quicky received a reply from Sampath. The arrangement was really good.
Our chauffer, Mr. Kapu, can speak English well and above all, he is a careful and experienced driver. Kapu took good care of us, paying his attention to small details. He assisted us in finding the hotels en-route and guided us through all attractions. We could complete our trip safely and happily thanks to his kindness and service.

He came highly recommended by two friends so I asked for him by name and I'd recommend others do the same. As a solo female traveler on her first trip to Sri Lanka, I was looking for safety, reliability, and good communication. Sarath immediately made it clear that I was in good hands on our four-day trip from the airport down along the southern coast to Yala and back. When he told me he has been driving professionally for over 20 years, I wasn't surprised because he consistently went above and beyond. For instance, he often asked if I'd like to take a brief detour to see an interesting landmark (and respected my choice if I declined or wanted to sleep). He got me fresh king coconut juice and red bananas, helped me notice interesting wildlife, checked in before every pickup and after every drop off, and answered every question I had about life in Sri Lanka. Sarath was approachable, considerate, and always on time. During this time in Sri Lanka we have loved every single second of it. Ajith was even better the fantastic! He was funny and kind and he brought lots of food for us and especially Aila who is always hungry. We felt like that it was just really special!Ajith really knew where to get the food and the best sites so it and he showed us things that you don’t see every time! We really enjoyed this as an amazing experience and it will always be something to remember! They were also very accommodating when a flight delay changed my plans and were in constant contact to make sure I was enjoying my trip and everything was going ok. - Samuel j1 contributionWe had a massages little days ago.it was wonderful and it is perfect way holiday in habarana village by cinnamon.
My husband went for the 90 minutes full body massage which also included the use of their and scrub.. There was also a promotion which we were given a complimentary Head massage. The masseuse were quite experience and they applied the right pressure on different parts of the body. It was such a relaxing and comfortable experience that I almost fell asleep! The masseuses were very professional and they never had any small talk amongst themselves. Our aching and tense muscles were soothe under their expertise and we just felt so pamper. The body massage was very worth it compared to the foot massage which I felt was done too fast. They should have been longer so our tired limbs can reap more benefits!

Not like other tour companies, Genuine SriLankans were not pushy toward any activity , all what we agreed on before the trip was respected with respect to payment , hours and timing of driving etc…..
