- zevenelGreat Malvern, UK2 contributionsWe would recommend this birdwatching tour . We were picked up on time by the driver from our hotel, a good transport experience, we were even bought a local Sri Lankan snack on the way home.
The guide was very friendly and knowledgeable as he lived just on the side of the lagoon. We had an early start to try to catch the birds early morning and we felt like we were the only boat on the lake. A very peaceful couple of hours among the mangrove inlets and on the lagoon. We saw a wide variety of birds including 2 types of kingfisher . We got to see all the key sights and it included a train journey in Ella which had the most incredible views I've ever seen!
It was a great option to travel with a guide, we felt very safe and taken care of and we didn't have to worry about anything. Nisha knew all the right places and the best times to go to avoid the crowds (which can be alot). He always set us up in the best spots and went the extra mile to let us enjoy the local experience of Sri Lanka.

Our guide for the safari was brilliant and we saw a large variety of animals with the group of elephants surrounding the jeep made the day. From the meeting place on the old canal we headed slowly up the canal, stopping frequently to take photos of the varied wildlife. We continued into the lagoon for a shoreline route viewing many types of birds. Bring me to all good restaurants and food is yummy. He also offer me a bottle of water everyday. Thank you so much Mr. Sisira. - Ben K2 contributionsThis company was great, we were met at the pickup point and after a little confusion we were sent down to canyoning where we were met with a guide. The canyoning was amazing and was our favourite part. It felt relaxed and not rushed, we had plenty of time to just swim or chill out in the natural pools of water. The white water rafting was good and the surroundings were beautiful, make sure to put suncream in your guide’s wet bag as we didn’t and are now sunburnt. We were a little sceptical at first but the zip line was very fun.
