    Going around Sri Lanka
    We had Deen to take us from Colombo to Kandy, NorEliya, Ella and Yala. He is great guy, friendly, supportive, speak good English, and showed us all the nice places.

    The Most Stress-Free Way to visit Sri Lanka
    After getting quotes from about 4 companies, we decided on YDSL. Everything was well organized and the communication was good with Chami from beginning to end. We had Manjula as our driver and had a great time with him. Good humored and patient, he made a very short trip enjoyable and we were able to see a lot in our 9 day trip. We always felt safe with Manjula and he was amenable to any last minute adjustments that we had along with having fun last minute suggestions on our route. Would highly recommend their services for your trip to Sri Lanka!

    Amazing sri lankan experience
    I visited Sri Lanka with my friends and our driver was extremely kind, patient and supportive. Although we did not have a full itinerary in mind he offered to show us both cultural, historical and natural amazing sites which we deeply enjoyed.
    He has always been on time, very precise and organized in all the arrangements he made for us even short notice and showed us great flexibility.
    We had a lot of fun and we have been very pleased with the overall service.

    Extraordinary experience in Sri Lanka
    I joined the this tour in February 2023 and had an amazing time. We travelled the island for 14 days and saw all the highlights along the way. My personal favorites included snorkeling with turtles, climbing Sigiriya rock, seeing elephants on a safari, cooking with natives and going surfing. But to be fair, every day had a different highlight, so it‘s hard to pick… The organization of the trip was great: Our tour guide Dam and our driver Sam navigated us safely across the island and shared interesting facts. The accommodations were fine and the food was excellent. I am very grateful for all the experiences and can only recommend this tour!

    Good enough
    Good quality cars and drivers maybe a little fussy but overall a very good service. Price quoted on booking will change at the destination but since not a big difference from original price thats fine. Most to improve on would be the driver to come to the terminal on time

    Palitha the Great!
    Palitha was the BEST driver! He speaks very good English. My daughter has a sensitive stomach on the winding roads and the stop-start-stop-start driving in Sri Lanka, and Palitha was very sensitive to that. We needed two carseats for our twins and those were locked and loaded when we arrived in Sri Lanka. He has excellent recommendations and was very flexible with our changing plans as a family. We would highly recommend him as a driver! He was more than a driver, he became part of our traveling family! Additionally, his wife made our daughter a dress. Palitha has two grown daughters, and his wife is an excellent seamstress. He took some measurements of our 5 year old, and she had 3-dresses by the time we got to Colombo, our last stop on the journey! They are absolutely gorgeous. Thank you for a wonderful vacation, Palitha!

    Road trip across Sri Lanka with Mr. Anura De Zoysa
    We began our trip from Colombo and headed to the east coast of the country. Our driver Mr Anura De Zoysa arrived at our hotel on time for us to be picked up. He was friendly, caring and accommodating to all our needs as we were traveling with a 2yr old. He even took care of our daughter a few times when we had to step into stores or when we were having our meal. He was very knowledgeable of the roads , drove safely and knew what the fastest route was without having to use google. We thoroughly enjoyed an 8 day trip across the country and it was in large part due to Mr. Zoysa.

    Lovely driver
    We had a brilliant experience with Sri Lanka Exclusive Tours. Sampath replied to our initial email within 24 hours and was quick to reply to any further queries we had. Our driver, Rohan, was incredible - he spoke fluent English and nothing was too much trouble. For example, when we asked to try an authentic Sri Lankan breakfast, he happily found us somewhere. He found us a place for authentic milk tea, and stopped off on the roadside to allow us to try King Coconuts. When we said we wanted to try jackfruit, he found a seller and asked her to show us both ripe (to eat fresh) and unripe (to eat in curry). He was such a gentleman and frankly we wish we had his personal email so we could thank him so much for his amazing service.

    This isn't the cheapest way to get around Sri Lanka (and you should do the train at least once - it's tonnes of fun, efficient and clean in our experience), but we felt like we got so much more out of our trip because Rohan was our driver. It felt like a personal tour!

    We asked for Rohan for all four of our journeys, but the company could only organise for him to do three out of four. The last driver we had was polite, friendly and efficient, though.

    My best advice: ask for Rohan! He's the absolute best!

    P.S. We actually did this trip in Nov 2016, but I just found my review which I had forgotten to post, so posting it now as Rohan deserves to know how much he made our trip - we still think of him often.

    Soul Enriching Land - Srilanka !
    Srilanka had been a beautiful discovery for me personally. I was there in Srilanka in early part of March this year with some of my special friends. It was my first visit (but certainly not the last).

    The country amazed me at every aspect of it.
    Warmth & friendliness of people, right balance of modern day civic developments & nature laden rich ecosystem, extremely tourist friendly facilities & amenities, great food and mesmerising oceans !!

    There are some magical places where time stands still and all the worldly worries ceases to exists.
    Srilanka is filled with such spots..quietly hidden and preserved by its deep spiritual culture.

    Special thanks to our local friend - Sanjay who took us around in his Toyota Caravan for 4 days.
    He was a true representative of this beautiful nation.
    He was our guide, driver and advisor for the meals and places we must explore.

    Some wise person had said once - ‘True journeys reveals depths of one’s inner world’
    My spirit has been enriched with a journey to this Godly haven and is already thirsting for more !

    Amazing month
    We booked 2 holidays with Ceylon Escapes, 12 nights and then 6 nights.

    Rebecca of Ceylon Escapes has been excellent in guiding us on best routes, must-see places & events and many do's and don'ts. Her advice has enriched our holiday to Sri Lanka tremendously.

    We had two separate driver guides. Wije is extremely charming, friendly, courteous, and much more. He became a friend. Full of energy, and without him we could not have done many things, like climbing Adam's peak.Hasantha is a font of all knowledge Sri Lankan. He is so patient and goo at explaining things. We learnt so much about Sri Lankan history, customs, rituals and more. When we are in Sri Lanka next ( most likely Feb 2026 England's cricket tour of Sri Lanka), we will stay in the neirbouhoods of Wije and then Hasantha so we can spend more time with them.

    Thanks Rebecca, without you, we could not have enjoyed Sri Lanka so much.

    We never go back to the same place. But Sri Lanka has been the exception that proves the rule. We came in 2003, we visited again in 2023, and god willing, we will be back in 2026

    Wonderful individual roundtrip Sri Lanka, with Mr. Sampath Pushpakumara
    We just got back from a four weeks roundtrip Sri Lanka.
    Started in Negombo, then Wilpattu N.P., Anuradhnapura, Jaffna and Delft Island, Polonnaruwa, Knuckles mountains, Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Ella, Yala, Mirissa, Galle, Telwatta, Sinharaja, Colombo en Negombo again.
    I totally agree with the other comments:
    Our trip has been wonderful having the best driver/guide we could possibly wish for: Mr. Sampath Pushpakumara.
    Great driver with a big knowledge, good company and very helpful.
    Four weeks is quite a long time, but we enjoyed every moment of it.
    Good mixture of being just the two of us and being with Sampath.
    Hé eekhoorn! took care of everything, including a great birthday surprise!
    We highly recommend him as a guide/driver for a trip in Sri Lanka.
    Indeed: future clients will be lucky to have him!
