We would recommend this birdwatching tour . We were picked up on time by the driver from our hotel, a good transport experience, we were even bought a local Sri Lankan snack on the way home.

The guide was very friendly and knowledgeable as he lived just on the side of the lagoon. We had an early start to try to catch the birds early morning and we felt like we were the only boat on the lake. A very peaceful couple of hours among the mangrove inlets and on the lagoon. We saw a wide variety of birds including 2 types of kingfisher . Snacks were provided during the trip.

This activity is not yet very popular among locals when considering hangout spots in Colombo, but it's gradually gaining popularity. However, the experience of seeing the city from the sea is both anticipated and highly enjoyable.

The crew is very helpful and friendly, and they even let guests navigate the boat with instructions and supervision. Onboard snacks are also enjoyable, and guests are allowed to carry dry snacks and beverages.

Recommended as a hangout spot for small private gatherings, small corporate events, etc.

TIP: Be at the docks a few minutes before the agreed commencing time.

Oh, how do I start? Ok, let me start from the beginning.
We landed in Colombo airport and we were told that Sujeewa will be waiting for us holding our name card. And man, first impression this guys gives. Amazing..
What a warm welcome smile we got. This made us comfortable right away as we were really worried how things will go because we didn't know about him other than talking few times over the phone.
So I asked him what do I call him. He said my dear one's call me Suji. I was like ok, I'll call you Suji as well :)

Out tour plan goes like this:
    Day 1&2 - Kandy
    Day 3 - Nuvaraeliya
    Day 4&5 - Mirrisa
    Day 6 - Bentota
    Day 7 - Colombo
Day 8 - flight back to India

We started our Tour from Kandy. We had to travel to Kandy same day we landed in Sri Lanka. We stopped for a lunch place Suji recommended.
Sri Lankan food, totally loved it from the first bite. So much similar to South Indian food but lots of flavors are different. This guy knows his country very well and he is so proud to be Sri Lankan.

I was traveling with my family and my daughter is 5 years. He made us comfortable each and every day.

Suji knows all the places, famous and the perfect hidden local places. He knows where to eat and what to eat. He understood our requirements and was very flexible in adopting to our plans. He never complained about anything and always suggested the best.

He made sure our place was ready every time we traveled to a new destination. He advised us what to do in each place.

And now interaction with my daughter..
He has a daughter who is similar age as mine. He made life so easy for us during the trip by helping us playing with our daughter every day. Carrying her when she was tired.. Our daughter became friends with him very quickly.

Over all, our 8 days in Sri Lanka was one the memorable ones and Suji made sure of it. I would highly recommend booking your tours with this person if you are planning to visit Sri Lanka.

Lastly, a big thanks to Suji from my family. And wish him and his family all the very best.

    Cheers, Anand

We had a great time with Roshan and Chathu during our 5 day tour. We had a varied and interesting tour around Sri Lanka which certainly suited our interests. Roshan guided us around his home town of Galle, he is very knowledgeable and easy to talk to. Rhoshans attention to detail was brilliant.
We stayed in Unawatuna which was a delightful village with an amazing beach.
Chathu took us to the koggala lake boat ride, we fed a little baby monkey who came on our boat. We were able to get off the boat a few times and met the locals. We had an interesting visit to a tea plantation.
We then headed to the udawalawe safari which was amazing seeing the elephants in their natural habitat. We saw baby elephants, and saw the elephants enjoying mud baths. They came close to the jeep which couldn’t have been better. We saw loads of deer and a crocodile and loads of monkeys and wild beasts and birds. We had a lovely picnic lunch in the park.
We then moved on to Ella which is a beautiful part of Sri Lanka with jungle areas and epic waterfalls. We had a walk up Little Adams Peak which was real good fun jumping in the tuk tuks. We also saw the nine arches bridge which was impressive.
We had a long drive back to Colombo and stopped at polhena beach for lunch. Overall we had a fantastic tour, a big thank you to Roshan and to Chathu who is good fun and looked after us so well. Many thanks from the pensioners on tour. Graham and Jenny
