One of the most visited places when visiting Penang. Really enjoy the iconic murals and historical buildings while looking for the street.

Great way to spend your weekend to indulge in nostalgic vibes of olden times… walking down a bustling street with stalls on both sides and hawkers beckoning you to try their wares. If you are lucky you might even catch the coconut shake guys displaying their coconut tossing prowess.

Me and my partner dined at one of the seafood stalls and the oysters there were really huge. Biggest oysters I’ve ate so far, very worth it. The fried oyster omelette though not so much

I also snagged a mini handbag for rm30 and bought souvenirs for my relatives there (pineapple tarts, pumpkin noodles)

For just RM4 each for locals, (RM 5 for non Malaysians), don’t miss this little forest of Borneo. It is not big. You will see quite a few species although to most they are all almost similar plants. The garden is well designed with easy to walk trail. With soothing flowing of streams and beautiful background for photo taking. The walk will definitely set a relaxing mood for all.

    Interesting place visited.
Situated on top of a hill which we can view the coastal area of the river banks and the mangrove swamps nearby
The lighthouse is also situated on top of the hill
The excitement begins when lots of monkeys gathers around us. They are friendly. We could feed them with food sold there only for the monkeys
Remains of fire-guns tells us that it is use during the colonial period to protect the area.
Maps of the said Bukit Malawati, Kuala Selangor is well displayed for easy reference to visitors.

Was really amazed to know the church is neaely 400 plus years old and Saint Francus Xavier had himself visited here and was rested forvsome months before moving to Goa. To my opinion this could have been better restored aa I could see the walls had been scribbled. Small piece of history that too my opiniom should not be missed in your trip

Well maintained and cleaned. Must try the steps to the top to see nice views but you need to be an experienced climber for safety.

On our way to visit Gurney drive night market at Batu Feringghi, we visit this place as planned and this half an hour break worth it.

There are numerous landmarks in Penang that are sights to behold. One of them is none other than the Floating Mosque of Tanjung Bungah. Situated along Tanjung Bungah’s stretch of beach, gives a 360-degree panoramic view of the sea.

It’s the first mosque in the country to be built on the sea, with pillars and stilts supporting its majestic structure.Tanjung Bungah is pretty quiet when compared to its more touristy neighbors, Batu Feringghi, Gurney and Georgetown.

Watching the boats on the sea near beach in evening make you will feel like its a picture from any fantasy novel. You will definitely love the scenic beauty of the place and peacefulness.

You can’t miss Tanjung Bungah as the place is on the way to Batu Feringghi – just make sure you don’t forget to stop by and pay a visit.

We took a walk around town in the mid afternoon looking for the street art. It was quiet and we took really nice photos. Some paintings were faded but overall, they were really nice.
