This striking mansion has seen better days, but it's a great example of the historic architecture that once found it's place thoughout Bangladesh. Although you can't "visit" the house, you can wander through the areas where bronze statues are made by the lost wax technique. This is all done by one family for generations. There is a nice shop area with many different bronze offerings which make good souvenirs and gifts. The matriarch proudly takes visitors around explaining the process.

I visited this site for the Handicrafts Exhibition hosted by the Bangladesh Government. The place was nicely decorated with all modern amenities, well-marked and separated stalls, central air-conditioning.

There is only some few places in Dhaka for arts, Bengal Gallery of Fine arts is one of them. Bengal group has a very good reputation for their taste & contribution in different sectors of arts and this is place is also not different of that.

Bistaar is one of the pioneers and self-sustained, multidisciplinary and multifaceted arts facility based in the port city of Chittagong in Bangladesh. The place is also a contemporary venue for performing arts and culture in the city. It was founded in late 2014, under a non-profit project called Chittagong Arts Trust. In 2016, it has been listed as one of the seven art organizations in South Asia by ArtX's ASEF culture360 under the Arts Management Caselet Project. There are several departments like Parampara- gallery and event space, Komal Gandhar- music and films archive, Bishaud Bangla- souvenir shop, Chatok Cafe- food and drinks cafe.

We came to this gallery for the 2 day exhibition entitled ‘Rohingya Crisis: 1 Year on’. We found this exhibition very moving. The exhibition shone a spotlight on the plight of the Rohingya refugees that have fled across the border to Bangladesh.
Entry is free and you need to pass through security to enter the building.
