This place is huge! Impressive architecture and a peek into Vietnam's distinctive traditions? Check. A confusing maze of walls? Double-check! We definitely got our steps in, but learning the history of this place was totally worth the sore feet.

Wonderful visit and a must-see location in Hue. Very worth visiting. I was glad we had a guide, who explained the history to us. Very beautiful spot.

The trails wind through super lush jungle, up super steep slopes. Bring your hiking boots because this place is no joke. We even caught a glimpse of some rare monkeys and heard crazy bird calls. It gets seriously chilly and damp up there, so pack some layers. The views from the top are totally worth the shivers though. Tip: check if there's low cloud cover before you go, otherwise it'll be misty views of...more mist. Bach Ma is an adventure for nature lovers, just be prepared for its beautiful, changeable personality.

An interesting site but lacking in the beauty and artistry of other sights we saw in Viet Nam. Tu Doc did not sound like a pleasant individual. The mausoleum itself is very grim and austere, but thenTu Doc was not actually buried here. Exactly where he and his treasure were buried is not known as all 200 servants involved with the burial were beheaded to keep the secret safe.

Totally worth a visit. Very different architecture from many the monuments in the area, and all are worth seeing. Take a picture with the monk and soldier statues in the courtyard! We were happy to have a guide walk us through the history, architecture, and symbolism. Very nice spot to visit. Not sure what else to say, but we're glad we went.

The main Royal Palace of Nguyen dynasty who ruled Vietnam 1802-1945 is currently under renovation. However, there're several other smaller palaces within the Imperial City complex (built according to Beijing's forbidden city complex) you can visit.
All of them are within the Citadel encircled by a moat and worth your 2 hours of time.

The lights on the bridge change colours at night, look really pretty at night when walking along the riverfront. Lots of boats nearby offering cruises up and down the river, but they do try and hit you constantly with the sales pitch which get annoying.

There are a lot of dragon boats all trying to sell you tours along the riverfront. Do your homework to avoid being ripped off. A really nice walkway along the riverfront with eateries. Very nice at night when the bridge is all lit up and changes c
