With minimal props this production is captivating and entertaining. The performers are such skilled athletes what they can do with their bodies and their skill level is incredibly impressive. The male and female principal dancers were incredibly strong and precise.
The timing to the music is precise. One musician plays the violin, classical guitar, mandolin, keyboard, he is a genius.
We loved this show including my 13 and 16 year old. The whole hour was thoroughly entertaining.

Bitexco used to be the tallest HCMC building for a long time, but not anymore.
It was surpassed by Landmark 81 which was built further north along Saigon river.
Despite of that, it remained Saigon landmark and a much better attraction imo, offering great views of downtown area where it's located.
Most important is to pick a day with little or no haze, as it can spoil your experience.
Also, try to be there before dusk to get both, day and night views.
Many here complain about the entry fee of around 10$. It is little bit higher for Vietnamese standards, but have in mind such sky decks in US and Europe cost 30-50$, so I don't see a problem with that for tourists.

Early January this year, my wife, kids, and I visited the Ho Chi Minh Opera House to watch the AO Show. Going into this experience none of us were quite sure what to expect, but we were pleasantly surprised with the show! I don’t want to give any spoilers for anyone who will watch in the future, but this show is definitely suitable for all ages - my young kids enjoyed it just as much as my wife and I. The show itself travels through traditional Vietnamese culture, modern day life, and funny stories that are sure to entertain. The theatre itself is beautiful, my only struggle was the seats. When I went to sit down I fell through my seat! You might be asking how that happened…well the seats are not stable in the sense that you need to sit in a certain position as to not fall down. This seating struggle did take a couple minutes to get used to, however it really wasn’t a problem as the show went on. I could not recommend this beautiful show enough!!

This is the main walking street stretching from the People's Committee (former French City Hall) all the way down to Saigon river promenade.
During the day it's very average, but it comes alive at night with many street food vendors, street performers and thousands of locals hanging out.

It was so good we had to come back again! This historic venue is conveniently located close to some of the main attractions in HCMC . We loved the outside terrace for sunset cocktails and cold beers overlooking the opera house and Pasteur street and with Notre Dame in the distance. The staff were great and service excellent

    Mannnn oh man.

I'm in town between meetings so wanting to soak in the local culture, I opted to head to Temple Leaf Sauna for a foot massage and Korean-style body scrub. After a long flight and walking around HCM sweating like there's no tomorrow, I felt I could use it.

The foot massage was nice. The room was private, the hands were strong and it was great. But when the girl brought me up a few flights of dark stairs, down an even more macabre hallway and knocked on a very narrow door, everything changed. The door opened, she smiled at me with a knowing smirk and scurried off. A slight young man in a robe walked me to a locker and told me to put my clothes inside and to pick a code that would lock the door electronically..... Security, I like that.

However, it left me there completely naked in front of this young man half my age.... I was hoping for an old guy with decades of experience and thousands of gross, naked men in his wake. Alas, that was not to be. The kid skipped over to the sauna like a pixie, opened the door, pointed with a smile and said "10 minutes". He skipped off and I was happy to be by myself.

He came back to collect me and motioned me around the corner to a wet massage table hovering above a drain and had me lay down as he removed his robe to reveal what I'm hoping was traditional scrubbing attire, in essence, a pair of boxer shorts.... Perhaps this was nothing more than a sign of unity but my nerves were starting to fold into my anxiety and I started to fear the worst.

I was pot committed to playing out this hand. I was very nervous, very naked and about to be very wet. There was no way out at this point. Nowhere to go. I was cornered in a mental checkmate as his young eyes paused a beat while I climbed up onto the table ass up like the day I was born.

    I got this.

The waterboarding began immediately. Aggressive waves of hot bucket water was doused at me like sorties jettisoning from a warship.... again and again and again... I could be no more wet. Drenched like a puppy in the rain, round one of the scrubbing began. My wet arms hanging from the sides of his table would every so often brush up against his legs as he unapologetically scrubbed the length of my body with everything he had. Back and forth, back and forth. The exfoliation had begun in earnest. Even parts of me that I thought required little to no exfoliation were exfoliated. You know what I'm saying.

Then the soap came out and I was lathered to levels unknown to man before. Have you ever lathered up a dog? It will exponentially expand in volume with the suds. I was that dog. My sad, sunken eyes of uncertainty staring down through the hole of a massage slab that Dexter himself would envy at the bubbles collecting around the drain and his bare feet dancing about this arena of fear and asepsis. Five minutes felt like an hour and I began to get comfortable and enjoy what was happening to me. This must be what Eddie Murphy felt like before he left Djumundja in Coming to America. Same thing..... until it wasn't.

As if realizing that you're not sure your kid has a ride home from school as you're sitting on an airplane, my body tensed and a freak out happened. There was no way that this guy was going to do all this to just my backside. There was going to be a front-side sequel for sure. This meant more water buckets, more scrubbing, and more sudsing.... MY FRONT! OMG.

Well, whatever semblance of humility I may have had when I landed in Vietnam was out the window now. Even more stuck, I tensed up and waited for his instructions. In very broken English, he asked me to roll over. I confirmed that was what he really wanted me to do. "Are you sure?"

"Yes sir. please roll over" GULP.

Well, if he could handle it, so could I. It was time to be brave. 1......2........3.... go.

I rolled over to my back and he spread my legs apart... I was extremely Montied on the table with a washcloth thankfully over my eyes so I couldn't see what was happening to me.... You were hoping that washcloth was for my ...ahem... yeah... so was I. Then he left me there. I was alone, wet and starting to get a little chilly, which left me not exactly being all I could be as nervous chills crept into my body. Sure my eyes were covered as I heard him come back to the lab but I could feel him stop a second before he commenced the second act. I felt a little judged, but I digress.

The scrubbing continued and it continued EVER-EE-WHERE. I was only mildly surprised when proverbially "shifted" from one side to the other for a more thorough descaling. I knew that this was not the worst of it. The soap was coming. The slippery experience of a lifetime was on a collision course with my nerves. This was so much worse than showering with my friends in the community shower at camp. There was teasing at camp, but no touching. I was cool though. I couldn't let this dude see my fear. But I couldn't get too relaxed. I mean, I am a male of the species. Warm, wet and slippery when accompanied by slight pressure could have unintended consequences of the unrecoverable variety.

Laying there waiting for it was soul-crushing. He washed my face and then moved down to my neck and chest. He massaged the soap into my shoulders, down my arms, between my fingers and up my side. He worked his way to my abdomen and I knew it was coming.... like going up the hill on a roller-coaster knowing the big drop was moments away and all that angst and fear comes rushing to reality. Except on a roller coaster, you have your clothes on.

It happened, he soaped me up here, and then he soaped me up on the other side, and then the coup de grace came when he cleaned both sides at the same time. It was fast and painless, but it did leave a mental scar. With soap dripping from all over, I was pretty sure that the rest of the ride was all going to be easy and so I could relax. It's a lot like flying in business class on a long flight with a very choppy approach. The flight was nice, the turbulence was not great, but once the plane landed on the runway and all was good, you can look back on the experience and realize it was pretty spectacular and actually cathartic. What's the big deal? I've never been this clean and once could argue this is about as spoiled as someone can get.... for a couple hundred thousand Dong.

Had an amazing High Tea and was one of the best I have experienced. The owner and host was originally from Canberra Australia. Food was delicious and plentiful at a reasonable cost. Atmosphere and decor interesting, can highly recommend especially if you are an Aussie traveller in Saigon.
    Cheers Steve

My partner and I both LOVED our 60 minutes body massages. I’ve had a lot of massages and this was like nothing I’d ever had before.
Well worth the ‘extra’ money, about $25 AUD each.
We both loved the strength/hard pressure we received from our ladies, they give you a piece of paper to indicate what strength you want for each area.
I would have liked more attention on my quads (my partner was happy with this on him) and I would have loved my bum to be rubbed too. But I do understand I might be a minority on this.

Had checked out the reviews but I am always skeptical. The environment is dim but luxurious and the facial was nothing short of that either. Went for the intense one and had all sorts of lotions and contraptions working some magic. The back and shoulder massage at the end was a nice bonus. Would recommend.
