It is one of the most interesting - and most beautiful - places to visit in Ho Chi Minh City. The museum hosts an impressive collection of Vietnamese art, much of it by women, and there is true originality in many of the pieces.
The French style architecture of the building is adding to the charm - walking around it on a rainy afternoon had a certain surreal feeling of past times to it. I recommend starting from the top floor and walking downstairs. It’s a 2-3h visit, which you can combine with a walk down the Antique street (although the galleries near the Opera House are much more interesting); and, indeed, an evening at the Opera House.

In the pedestrian street, not the museum but the exhibition. I have seen a real podium first time in my life. It was exciting. Numbered chairs, live music, decorative walls, costumes around... I was alone in the hall and could not stop myself pretending as if I am the fashion model!

I and a few of my friends visited the museum in July 2023 and it's nothing short of fantastic! During that time, the museum had an exhibition event. The event was well-organised, the layout was intuitive and the location was beautiful! (next to the Saigon River with a beautiful view) The staff there was thoughtful, nice and very knowledgeable! I had lots of questions about paintings and exhibitions, and she answered every question with detail and precision. Simply put, 10/10 and would come back again!

The exhibition is easy to locate in District 1, I visited here and was very impressed
A beautiful place with many special artworks and extremely friendly staff, Sann The House Of Ar is not only a place to showcase the artistic works of artists, but it is also a journey to explore the quintessence of contemporary painting in combination with the traditional handicraft village of Vietnam.
Sann's great creativity and love for their homeland has left me with a lot of emotions Thanks to Sann for helping me understand more about the unique cultural heritage values of Vietnam.

Had a hurried view of this place as they were closing for lunch at 11.00am and reopening at 1.00pm.
What I saw was nice, oils, lacquer and watercolours all done by local artists. Would have liked longer so not sure what time it opens but go early.
