Good for solo travelers. Bao was a great guide.
Pickup at hotel was easy and on-time. Be prepared for lots of driving time, but I was honestly happy to get out of HCMC and was ready for that so wasn’t too bad (having headphones so you can listen to a podcast or audiobook really helped me).
First stop at the temple with the big Buddha felt a bit rushed to me but also I looove to take photos and we had been in lots of traffic so it was fine.
Plenty of bathroom stops provided.
Vegetarian lunch was good and was fried rice, handmade (in front of you!) rice paper roll with tofu, fried spring rolls, fried tofu, steamed veggies, and some fruit. Drinks are not included (you are provided a bottle of water on the bus earlier in the day) and cold soda at lunch was 25k.
Per other reviews, yes there’s a bunch of tourist-trap type experiences - candy making, honey farm, and local music - where they’ll either try to get you to buy something or ask for a tip. Just know that it’s ok to say no! Honestly I was happy with the candy sample and free honey tea and it made it still an interesting experience.
But overall, great day (if long!) so this was well-worth the price.
