This is worth seeing and visiting while on your trip. The city is different and the people are different along with the great history of the times. Great history.

We have made a round trip trough Asia and saw a lot. This place is amazing and so beautiful and tasteful with a lot of art statues, historical building, bridge, beautiful trees surrounded by mountains in the mist.
After the touristic old center of Hanoi this was defenately what we needed to get a better idea of Vietnam’s culture.

We went to the HD Hotel nearby and then the host arranged a taxi for us (return). We went there for one hour and it was an amazing experience.
Also the ride to the palace was better since it gives a better picture of Vietnam than all hose tourist destinations.

    Cash entrance only

We meandered to this small pond in the middle of a small neighborhood surrounded by housing, cafes, fish mongers, shops and more. We arrived at the small pond and the remains of this B52 from the "American War" as it is known in Vietnam is resting in place from the mid 70s.

This museum wasn't on our itinerary but it was close to the hotel so decided to explore. Nice airy building and the lady at reception couldn't have been more helpful. With free entry it was somewhat a surprise that we were the only visitors during the 80 minutes or so that we were there. The exhibits were all labelled with English and French translations. The history of the Police Force in Vietnam was eye opening. The Force is relatively newly formed and initially brought together the internal security and paramilitary agencies into a single Force. The history of the agencies is also covered in the Museum. Well worth a visit if you are interested in such things

It’s a petty little store inside Hanoi craft house. Thia was my very very first time I’ve done a leather thing by myself. I had thought that it would be very hard but staff helped me a lot and I could done my cardholder very well. My friends did a small case and a long wallet. We were really interested in making our own things. Staff is really friendly n lovely. They showed us everything about leather. I love them so muchhhh. The most amazing experience I’ve had in Vietnam. I will come back DIY Box when I have a chance to visit Hanoi again.

A very beautiful and peaceful Pagoda set in a very rural area. Well maintained and partially rebuilt and dates back to the 17th. Century. This is worth the visit.

Very knowledgeable guide Linh made it a great authentic tour around the Black Market, and some residential areas of Hanoii in an old Jeep! Stopped at some great food places and egg coffee at an unique cafe. Had a fabulous time! Thanks to Linh for a great tour.

We met our chef at the local market and selected fresh ingredients for our dinner, We proceeded on to a beautiful home where we were greeted with cold beer and appetizers, which were very welcome. We fixed pho, banana flower salad and many other tasty things. Overall, I couldn't recommend this more highly!

We went on a food tour with Luke and Mike in December 2019. Best decision ever as we were introduced to so many Vietnamese dishes that we were not aware of and have never tried. We love Vietnamese food. There was so much to eat on the tour and we were extremely full. Thank you to Luke and Mike who made the tour super interesting. Love their humour and cheekiness. We would highly recommend doing a food tour when in Hanoi and if you can request for Luke or Mike, you will not be disappointed.

Authentic Batrang is a small, pretty pottery store with some beautiful pieces that are well priced. Strongly recommend stopping by this small store to take home a little piece of Hanoi.

A hastily arranged tour of the Hanoi Old and French Quarters was most enjoyable, keenly assisted by Mickie and Nui (hope I remembered their names correctly!)

Both girls were friendly, knowledgeable and clearly passionate about both Vietnamese culture and the city of Hanoi.

Despite the on/off rain, the tour was informative, not strenuous, conversation was easy and made the most of the atmosphere around the walking and not-walking streets, with the SEA Games activities around the Hoan Kiem Lake.

    Highly recommended.

Me and my 8 year old daughter did the food tour with Ken through the old quarter. Ken was very polite and courteous and designed the tour according to our wishes. I can only recommend the tour.
