At the "Old Quarter" of Hanoi, at the center of "Hoán Kiêm" - the "Lake of the Restored Sword", on a small islet, stands "Tháp Rùa", the famous "Turtle Tower", also known as "Tortoise Tower". It was built around the 14th century, as a fishing lodge for King Lê Thánk Tông. The three-story tower was never finished and cannot be accessed directly by the public. As it is beautifully lit, it is best pictured in the evenings from the lake's shore. May "Kim Qim", the "Golden Turtle God" protect your Hanoi's journey. Enjoy!
