We were very interested in this part of Hanoi's history, and fascinated by the turtles. The temple is lovely, and the surroundings interesting and attractive

This's a great place to visit as it offers you a great chance to learn more about culture and history of Vietnam. This's a complex of five courtyards represented the development of Education and Confucious through the centuries. As it's very popular tourist site, maybe a must-see place, so it's quite crowded. We saw many students and young people coming here and they looked so happy. Many of them were communicated with foreigners confidently and happily. It's a great experience!

The Vietnam Museum of Ethnology is a captivating showcase of Vietnam's diverse ethnic groups, featuring extensive displays of artifacts, costumes, and interactive exhibits. You can learn about the rich cultural heritage of each community and gain insight into their unique customs and traditions. The museum is a must-visit destination for anyone interested in history, anthropology, or simply looking to deepen their understanding of Vietnam's rich cultural tapestry.

Set on a small island off Truc Bach lake, it was very pleasant to stroll around the pagoda grounds. Although popular, it still felt peaceful and relaxed.

The main section is closed but there is a small section about 100 metres long that is open, at one end. The locals won't let you in unless you say you will have a drink, and then you are escorted to their shop for a drink. Once you have had a drink there you are free to walk up and down and take photos. It is an incredible place, and just thinking what it would be like sitting there having a drink while a train passes by, will blow your mind. A place not to miss while you are in Hanoi. Trains go through in the evening around 7:30pm.

There are several places to rent bicycles around the West Lake. You could also rent bikes and start cycling from the Old Quarter. That was fun

The temple has beautiful bonsai trees and a peaceful lake nearby. You can relax and reflect here. There are also old things to see, like a giant turtle that has been in the lake for many years. You can visit until 6 PM every day. A student ticket costs 15,000 VND and an adult ticket costs 30,000 VND. However, it can be very busy with lots of tourists and locals on the weekends.

Arrived at Lotte Centre… head into the mall/center… we were wrongly directed by the staff as we asked for direction. Had to ask another guy and he just told us the entrance/ticket counter is at the basement which is where Lotte mart was located. The ticketing counter was outside of Lotte mart tucked in a corner…

No queue no crowd, purchase the ticket and went directly up 65 floors… the view was great and breathtaking. The best part I would say is the skywalk glasses. There were 2 of them, 1 with a heart and 1 with angel wings…

There were a few paid activities that you can do like rent an traditional Korean costume, VR games and a cafe if I’m not wrong…

Overall a great place for pictures and some relaxed chilling to take in the views.

This is worth seeing and visiting while on your trip. The city is different and the people are different along with the great history of the times. Great history.

At the "Old Quarter" of Hanoi, at the center of "Hoán Kiêm" - the "Lake of the Restored Sword", on a small islet, stands "Tháp Rùa", the famous "Turtle Tower", also known as "Tortoise Tower". It was built around the 14th century, as a fishing lodge for King Lê Thánk Tông. The three-story tower was never finished and cannot be accessed directly by the public. As it is beautifully lit, it is best pictured in the evenings from the lake's shore. May "Kim Qim", the "Golden Turtle God" protect your Hanoi's journey. Enjoy!

We visited this as part of our tour. It was definitely a unique and interesting experience, and one I'd recommend doing once. I reckon just under an hour is about right. There's about 11 different short acts, and a brief description of each is displayed on a screen at the beginning of each one, which was handy.

Inaccurate address provided by Tripadvisor and Google Maps. The correct location of the Hanoi Police Museum is across the road and then walk slightly towards the LEFT - along the mustard yellow building with dark brown wooden windows. We were lucky to receive accurate directions from two Viet policemen who were obliging and kind.

The museum is definitely worth a visit as it carefully documents the myriad contributions and responsibilities performed by the police force in Vietnam 🇻🇳. It is a very interesting and educational place to visit.

I enjoyed meeting lot of young and friendly people there. Food is good. Different kind of music though sometimes it's a bit noisy. Ice-cream and coffee shops are worth to try.

The hike to the temple at the top is quite easy. Good for a quick getaway as the air is refreshing. However nothing much special here so if you want to be properly touristy, maybe this is not your best choice.

Very big mall. Some good sportswear shops like Adidas, Nike, super sports etc.
otherwise the general handbag shops, optical/ spectacle shops & fashion.
Upstairs a huge food court with many hotpot shops. Very crazy at weekend with kids in the play area. The supermarket is huge and we’ll stocked for your general home shopping. Just be careful of taxis. Make sure you get a genuine meter taxi.
