Visited with wife and son. Very busy on a Sunday with lots of students and promising graduates taking photos all over the site. There were lots to see and my 9 year old son made his own print. Thoroughly enjoyed the visit.

A very good museum which makes understanding the history of this wonderful country, I read a lot about Vietnam before coming here but I found it fascinating to learn more from the information described here, especially the 54 different “clans “ , not to be missed!

Huyen Travel put together day trips to Halong Bay and Ning Binh, plus plane tickets to HCMC. The day trips far exceeded expectations. Highly recommended.

Awesome fun, party like atmosphere. Lots of train pass through, you don't need guide, so easy to find ! The locals offer very inexpensive food and drinks, make a night of it, so much fun, for all ages. I watched two trains, so happy I did this !!

Definitely a must visit if you love observatory decks :) And down below in the Mall there is a Mart that you can shop at afterwards for souvenirs and groceries.

Ngoc Son Temple is located on a small island on Hoan Kiem Lake in the very center of Hanoi. It's reachable via a small picturesque bridge paying a small fee.
Temple is quite ordinary, like many others we saw all over Vietnam, however its position on the lake is so beautiful and that's the reason it's so popular.
Come at night as well, when it's beautifully illuminated.

Enjoyed our bike ride around West Lake. It was a good challenge and best done clockwise around the lake to be on the lakeside side of the road. Rented bikes from Bike Plus 150,000d for two hours which included helmets. A nice change in activity from walking Old Quarter.

The weather was very cold but atmosphere was very cool. We love walking on narrow but clean brick-paved roads in Duong Lam ancient village. And ride a bike is very interesting, too. But I am not a good biker. hahaha.

We were taken to this as part of our tour so can’t comment on price, but was certainly something quite different and generally entertaining.

The show is a series of short stories performed by puppets in the water to live music and song. There is a short narrative or description of each story projected onto a screen in a corner above the stage which makes it easier to follow what is happening.

Unfortunately the residual smoke from fire breathing dragons makes taking pictures very difficult as it lingers in the air. One of our party suffered from asthma and found it irritated her for quite some time after.

All in all a fun short experience, even if the seats were extremely uncomfortable

This mosaic art is at the north side of Long Biên station. This was the project to commemorate the county’s 1000th anniversary, started in 2007 and completed in 2010. It lasts about 6.5km, Guinness Records.
We only saw mosaic art from distance. We saw from the bus on the way to hotel from AP. We saw from the bus from hotel to HaLong. The north of Long Bien station is a key point for major transport so you may come across here on during your move.
We feel fine to see from distance since you cannot see the whole mosaic anyway. Rather, you can see the whole picture from distance. It’s a pretty colorful art which cheers the people.

The view in Hoan Kiem Lake is amazing, and the weather is perfect. I and my sister with her daughter made a lot of nice picture here.

Huge, beautiful park with a lot of neat stuff to explore. We didn't have a whole lot of time to spend--we climbed up to Bao Thien Tower and (practically next to it) the Ho Chi Mihn Temple. After we came down we checked out the ruins of the French stone church. So all together, we were there for a few hours.

The climb up the big hill to the tower and temple involved many, many stairs. But you are in the shade the whole time! Still, if you have mobility issues or you hate stairs, this one might not be for you. But it was really great once you reach the top! There are other people on the path with you, and there are plenty of benches and other places to stop and rest if you want to. I recommend bringing water.

The park is full of beautiful flowers. Everything is so lush and green, and you hear constant bird song. For the record, we did NOT use our bug spray, and we had not trouble. No bug bites.

The park is a 90 minute drive (60 km) west of Hanoi. We booked a driver with Golden Holiday Travel. He met us in the lobby of our hotel and took us straight there--no difficulty at all. Cost was $75.

Admission cost: 60000 VND ($3) per person. I think your driver is free. There is a ticket booth right at the entrance to the park. Our driver stopped---we ran over and bought tickets. Super easy.

Looks so pretty at night when it is lit up and you walk around the lake. Unfortunately there is no public access to it. It adds a bit of magic to the lake.
