Only thing that could be improved on was the hotel - there was so much noise. Su was so kindly patient in bringing us around as one of us had knee trouble and our family liked to stop to shop and take pictures. He was very informative and joyful, making it a fun chill experience. We spent great time in visit and lunch, knowing the history of Hanoi, tasting the typical food.... My friend and I are appreciated and enjoying the tour. Our tour guide was fantastic—friendly, attentive, and kept us safe . We had a very different but interesting experience, We didn't like too much a local village trip experience as we thought it's just a tourist trap with very pushy locals trying to sell their products but the second day trip to the mountains and very difficult 10km wild track was a totally different experience. Our tour guide Vu was so good , not pushy and helpful. We were really glad having her as a quide. In general it as really good. - Inga2 contributionsIt was a really nice trip! The transfer from Hanoi to Sapa (and back) was comfortable and without any troubles. Our tour guide was amazing! We stayed at her house over night, had delicious food and drinks, interesting chats about the region, people and culture. We were quite unlucky with the weather (some rain and fog) so our Trecking tour was adjusted to the weather conditions - that was also an advantage as we were able to decide everything spontaneously.

Our guide for the Trek was Son, he was very pleasant and gave us good insight into the way of life for the villages.
Homestay at Mr Linh's was far better than we expected, facilities were clean and comfortable and the food, wow it was great! Definitely needed the hike after eating way too much at each meal.
Day 3 we took the boat with a different guide Loi. The boat trip along the lake to a local village was pleasant. Loi took us for a tour of the local village and gave us lots of insight into how the families all live together. Highly entertaining experience and lots of humour, especially when he made mating calls for the roosters and chased piglets :)
Loi was the best guide I had all trip, he not only gave great insight to the Vietnamese culture and history but was so willing to help and give tips on other parts of Vietnam we should explore.
