Very traditional water puppet show. Easy way to get you ticket in advance. Gets very busy in the area and pick pockets are everywhere, even in the toilets. One poor American man had his wallet stollen while standing in the washroom.

Please don't be the kind that blocks the view of others by trying to film with your phone. Just sit back and enjoy the great show. Others were late and were let in once the show had started. These behaviours wouldn't be allowed elsewhere, it spoils what otherwise would be a great experience.

Although we purchased skip the line tickets via Trip Advisor, it didn’t actually mean you skip the line to collect your tickets. For us it meant standing at the entrance until after the show had started for someone to bring out our tickets.
The show however was brilliant with humour throughout. The stories had really been thought about and the delivery was great. I would highly recommend the show, but would advise you go to the theatre and buy your tickets in advance in person rather than by a third party such as Trip Advisor.

This show is absolutely wonderful and a must see while in Hanoi. It's worth getting the audio guide as it explains the different stories of the performance without being disruptive.
The only advice we would give is that is no clear sign where to collect pre-paid Skip the Line tickets. After joining the large queue we did see a young lady who didn't seem to be trying to get anyone's attention and was just on her phone. After 20 mins queuing we finally realised that this lady had our tickets 🤦🏻

We took a 1 night cruise in Halong Bay on a 5 star Cruise, which was perfect. The cruise stops at the major points of interest through the day which is great. The staff were so helpful and friendly, the boat is luxurious and the cabins are comfortable. We were lucky enough to be upgraded to a premium cabin which was a lovely gesture as the Corona virus had reduced the number of tourists.
There were lots of activities to fill in the time, it would have been nice to go on the trip when it was warmer to enjoy the swimming.
Fun excursions and time to relax along with incredible food and service. Don’t miss this one!

So fun! Definitely recommend a trip to this theatre as they have the English translation on a screen at the front. Our 10 yo daughter loved it and so did we.

A 50 minute, colourful unique experience. We booked for a same day show, tickets collected from a nearby hotel and were glad we’d opted for the audio headset as this gave a brief description of the different scenes.

We were looking for Cultural/traditional experience of the Vietnam people. The water puppet show provided us with a glimpse of their traditional theater and music, musical instruments. The show is an hour long , there is no narration to the story, although you can buy an audio set( We chose not to and didn’t regret that choice). They give you a brochure that lists out the title of each act, guess it would’ve been nice to have some background information as to why they created those acts, but you really didn’t know what was on the set so not sure what we missed. I’m glad we went. And I would recommend it if you’re looking for a taste of culture. We were in row C, which was close to stage but to be honest any seat in the house allows you a clear view of the stage it’s a small theater.

What an amazing day with Travis, our tour guide. The itinerary was well planned out and extremely interesting! Travis was very knowledgeable, professional, respectful and kind. His English was impeccable. The highlight was our coffee on Train Street, what an incredibly exhilarating experience. Also, enjoyed learning about the various occupations and visiting the B-52 Victory Museum.
Our driver was skilled and successfully navigated the streets without difficulty.
    Thanks again for amazing memories!!
Overall, an amazing day and we highly recommend it.

The music is way too loud and quite unbearable. The puppet show was nice. Lots of people were covered their ears though. It would be much better if the show was not loud.

I live downtown Chicago and do not take mass transit so I was a bit wary at first but I decided to give the BTS a try after being in BKK a few times. It was easier and quicker than I thought. Much better than sitting in traffic in a taxi or tuk-tuk.

I was amazed by this performance! Such a unique experience and one not to be missed. Even if you don't understand the language, it is still worth the visit. Plus, purchasing my ticket in advance was quick and easy.

I thoroughly enjoyed the comedy surrounding the puppet show. It was very clever. My recommendation would be to leave teenage kids at home. They didn’t appreciate the cultural experience.
