    Such an interesting visit!
This museum experience was one of my favorite ever. Both outside and the two main indoor buildings are very interesting and all presented very clearly. Highly recommended if you're interested in learning more about Vietnamese culture and ethnic origins
    Cost: 40000 VND (about $1.50 U.S.) Hours: Closed Monday. Tuesday-Sunday 8:30-5:30.

When visiting the mausoleum do on to visit the museum as this gives a good insight into the history of the country, everything is well displayed.

We stopped in here while wandering around the old quarter day. Its similar to many of the ancient houses in Hoi An, but worth stopping in if you are in the area. Always interesting to see these old houses.

Museum has two wings- one with some artifacts and one that is more modern and largely devoted to photos and documents. Our friends who are history buffs wanted to spend more time here. I found the displays of artifacts from prior to the 20th century more interesting but not well organized and the modern history displays somewhat dull.

Of all of Hanoi's museums, this one is special. The history of Vietnam's longest-serving Minister of Education might not inspire everyone. But, this is more than just that. This is a home that has become a shrine to a family and ultimately a man whose life spanned so much of modern Vietnam history. Heck, he was friendly with Ho Chi Minh! And, the tour was provided by the granddaughter in law of the man himself. The visit started with some tea (or cool water) and then a tour of the garden. After that, we went through the four floors of photos and documents. It was actually incredibly interesting.

The Museum of the Revolution was merged with the Vietnam National Museum of History in 2011 though the maps have not always been updated. We started with the Vietnam National Museum of History building on Trang Tien Street and then found this second location on Tran Quang Khai Street and was able to use the same ticket to enter.

The second building covers the period from 1858 to the present day and concentrates on the emergence of the Vietnamese Communist movement and the Vietnamese independence movement against the French and the Americans. The presentation uses a lot of photos and written material (though there are usually explanations in English) which can be heavy work. The early section of this museum provided some new information but there is overlap with the displays in the Vietnam National Museum of History and Hoa La Prison.

Old Quarters only the name. Now these get converted to Business centre like Hotel, Resturants, Pagoda, travel agency etc.

Good items of display and ok creation of themes. Faded signage and the film was a big missed opportunity.

The biggest issue is getting there. We were staying in the old quarter, like many tourists, and it’s a twenty minute taxi ride. Not horrible but we found many other things to do were walking distance.

It’s good but not a top destination imo

Interesting for kids to see US warcraft and weapons. Not real interactive, but not 'just photos'. Won't need much time, but we liked it. Part of exhibits are outdoors, some inside. Bathroom here was awful.

I'm not a prof at this field but very nice artefacts at the site, definitely worth a visit. Such a pity there is only one room.
