Don't miss the it. The bustling of local life, the dedicated streets from to different jobs, from silverware to leather or food and local markets

Nice place to visit on your trip to Hanoi, but you should have a local tour guide to tell you why - what.... about this temple or university. Without tour guides, you can take beautiful photos

Very interesting. Lots of history, including American prisoners here. There's propaganda for the visitor to deal with. Not crowded when I was here.

I saw the mausoleum for the first time in 1993 and each time i visit Hanoi i always take a walk in that area and admire the huge building. You can see the changing of the guards or the flag raising at certain times of the day. In the old days you could cycle to the area but now all the streets are cordoned off and there is a security search and xray machine 150 m before you approach the mausoleum.

It is quite interesting to find a miniature of Notre Dame Cathedral in the Vietnamese capital. Saint Joseph Cathedral is an impressive legacy of French colonial history in the country. Unfortunately it is under renovation during our time of visit.

Love this unique street . Never seen one like it. We were so lucky to arrive in time for a train to run through as it was the lunar new year and nearly everything has come to a standstill in Hanoi.

It is nice to visit this pagoda in Hanoi - Peaceful and beautiful. However, we do not like the local people selling things at the pavement at the intrance gate - they catched birds and try to sell here. We felt so sad about the birds in the caves

It is ironic to find the communist leader of Vietnam living in the former residence of French governor-general. The political center of Hanoi stands alongside the patriotic symbol of Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum. Unfortunately it is not open to public.

Me and dad were at Serein Cafe sipping coffee and the train was departing from the station moving slowing along Long Bien Bridge, recommend people to go there around late afternoon to enjoy the sunset and the night view and to see the train departing or arriving at the station.

Nice to see of an evening, can't comment on during the day as didn't see, but once dark, the temple and lake looked really pretty and well worth a little look.

Arrived at Lotte Centre… head into the mall/center… we were wrongly directed by the staff as we asked for direction. Had to ask another guy and he just told us the entrance/ticket counter is at the basement which is where Lotte mart was located. The ticketing counter was outside of Lotte mart tucked in a corner…

No queue no crowd, purchase the ticket and went directly up 65 floors… the view was great and breathtaking. The best part I would say is the skywalk glasses. There were 2 of them, 1 with a heart and 1 with angel wings…

There were a few paid activities that you can do like rent an traditional Korean costume, VR games and a cafe if I’m not wrong…

Overall a great place for pictures and some relaxed chilling to take in the views.

Not quite as spectacular as the Citadel in Hue but definitely worth a visit. You are given a map at the ticket office with a suggested route, which is worth following, as you could otherwise miss so much. Very interesting to see the Command Headquarters and bunkers from the war, with good original exhibit. We spent a good couple of hours wandering around as there is quite a lot to see.

Lots of shops for clothing, household items, coffee & tea, with some really reasonable pricing too. Went to a shop (Thành Thuy clothing shop located at 117 Hang Gai Str) to get some traditional Vietnamese wear for my girl and a wool shawl for my mum. Shop lady super nice! Really good price and quality too.

Good and prompt service, 18 hours/day. If your tour guide does not appear at appointed time, inform her and she will follow up. So you are never lost. Never fail. Highly recommended.

This is worth seeing and visiting while on your trip. The city is different and the people are different along with the great history of the times. Great history.
