What travelers are saying
- Noa H1 contributionStreet vendors sell everything from pho to bun cha, and the smells are irresistible. It’s an authentic taste of Hanoi. The noise can also be overwhelming at times, with motorbikes zooming by on the sidewalks.Written February 4, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jamie_Lawrence563356London, UK130 contributionsI visited the Cu Chi Tunnel complex from Saigon. We ordered a Grab car from the Majestic Hotel direct rather than joining a group tour. It takes 90 minutes to get there and our driver dropped us off at the ticket office. The site provides guides and we walked through the site. We finished at the shooting range, it’s a complete tourist trap and massively overpriced but where can you shoot an AK47 with little or no training. £2 per bullet absolutely amazing experience. Personally if you can travel independently do, expect to be squeezed by the staff, they have to make a living. A fantastic experience, if you are travelling to HCMC Saigon this is worth the effort and expense.Written February 2, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Dunc76Cambs, UK54 contributionsSmall museum, but laid out fairly well. Very interesting to see the war from another point of view. The War Crimes section was very powerful and moving. The war photography section was also very good. Allow a couple of hours for a visit, easy to combine with a visit to The Independence Palace and then go across the road for food at Ben Nghe Street food market.Written January 29, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Hunfredo ZoeNewark, NJ5 contributionsThe town’s charm lies in its simplicity—tiny shops selling handmade crafts, cozy cafés tucked into alleys, and friendly locals waving as we passed. Sure, it got crowded near the bridge, but we found quiet corners to sit and reflect. Together, we lit lanterns on the water, giggling as they floated away. Hoi An wasn’t just picturesque; it was soul-soothing.Written January 30, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Leo SWindisch, Aargau, Switzerland66 contributionsGreat views over the entirety of da nang. Much more impressive than we thought, beautiful structures and caves. Be warned there are many steps and some are not very easy to climb up, however there are guard rails sometimes which can be used for assistance. - Hugary1Sydney, Australia9,541 contributionsA must to see the prison where US pilots were held in very difficult circumstances. If the place is busy the corridors can be difficult as the in is also the out route.

- GhettoSeriousHo Chi Minh City, Vietnam19 contributionsPros:
1. 1050kVND/ticket/pax for Cable car back and forth unlimited rides within one day from the city cross the sea to Vinpearl on Hon Tre island, included all their games (Zipline, Alpine coaster, the Sky wheel,..) is a fair price comparing to Zipline ticket of Kong Forest in Hon Ba mountain 1000kVND/ticket/pax/ 1hour ride shorter Zipline.
2. Vinwonder park is inside the Vinpearl area, to walk all the surrounding Vinpearl and inside Vinwonder park, my watch counts about 25k steps that day. Good for exercise and sightseeing all their gardens, ocean view, and of course taking a lot of amazing pictures.
3. The Light-Water-Fire show at 6:45pm is a good show to wait for. Come early 40 minutes before the start to reserve center view was worthy of my time.
Cons:
1. If your target is Zipline, Alpine coaster, ... games, be prepared that other people think the same. The waiting queue for Alpine coaster is 1.5 hours when we arrive at 10am. The Zipline is even worse, out of ticket at 11am. Arrive earlier like 8-9am might work for these games.
2. The food in restaurants in Vinpearl is average quality. Not good taste comparing to the food in Nha Trang city.Written January 5, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It is a vast site situated in central Hanoi. There is a small charge that can only be paid by cash. The temple is a series of courtyards each with pavilions, halls and statues. There is plenty of information on the history of the university, how the exam system worked and the monarch's role in assessing student. There is a small cafe near to one of the courtyards.Written January 17, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - charlotteSedona, AZ78 contributionsHoan Kiem lake is truly the heart of Hanoi- beautiful to walk around. For a tourist it is an easy meeting place with the hop on hop off bus ticket office right there. Very close to the water puppet theatre and multiple coffee shops and stores.Written February 4, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - TravelingFoodieMiami, FL2,934 contributionsI loved this long, sandy beach—it’s peaceful and uncrowded. While some areas near the beach feel a bit worn, others are well-maintained and lined with a variety of restaurants and bars. The whole area has a laid-back, rustic charm, reminiscent of the beaches along Mexico’s west coast. It’s a great spot to unwind and enjoy the surroundings.Written December 29, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
