This wat is a 14th century temple. I loved walking around the grounds. The elephants on the ruins were quite beautiful to look it.

Not at all expected. That is undoubtedly true. Not even previous pictures of this Wat that I've seen can prepare you for the sight of such a massive structure draped in gold. Shiny, with a faint trace of insence wafting by, an inquisitive visitor stream through, and a jet taking off (the airport is approximately 6km distant)... active worshipers.

It’s a tropical garden in a hot climate. Assume you are going to feel the heat!
Visitors are well cared for with a frequent free shuttle bus and cycles to hire. Although some areas are under repair or reconstruction, the majority of the gardens are simply breathtaking.
Having visited many gardens internationally, I have never been so impressed as I was by the Orchid Pavillion.
The garden beds were in perfect condition and beautifully designed. The mature native and exotic trees were magnificent specimens, perfectly sited.
The Royal Pavilion is absolutely beautiful, an architectural masterpiece befitting His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great. The tinkling of hundreds of tiny bells produce a heavenly feeling, the interior hall is spectacular.
The Royal Park is a quick taxi ride from the city.
    The entrance fee is THB100.
The entrance fee for Kew Gardens in London is over THB990.
This garden is an absolute treasure, and I would recommend it without reservation.

This experience was unforgettable - absolutely incredible. The festival itself was lovely and fairly well organized, with the exception of the transportation to the grounds which was disorganized with multiple queues and nobody there to direct people. That aside, upon arrival it was great. Tons of food, activities, and exploring to be done before the formal ceremony begins, so go early to have time to soak it in. We sat quite far back for the ceremony, so the audio wasn't great but it was a good cultural experience. The lanterns are of course the highlight; this was a surreal experience and made it all worth it. Be prepared for about an hour drive in a tuk tuk each way and note that the outhouse bathrooms were pretty disgusting.

Entry is 100 thb for foreigners plus 30 thb for a car. This waterfall is a series of 10 levels, some more dramatic than others. There are three parking areas. If you park at the top level, you can access level 3 to level 10. Some people have said that solid shoes are required, but I did not find that to be the case. The entire path is paved with concrete or stone, and there are no real steep stretches. Flip flops will work if you are used to walking in them. Crocs, probably not. If time is limited, rather than push all the way up to level 10, I would concentrate on levels 5, 6, and 7, the most dramatic falls. There is a checkpoint at level 6, with an attendant. Appears that the upper levels are sometimes closed. Toilets are available at each parking lot. Toilets at lots 2 and 3 are not too fancy. I didn't try the toilet at lot 1, but the building looked new, probably the place to stop if you need sit down. There are food sellers at lot 3. I ordered pork liver salad for 100 thb. Food was tasty and the ladies were eager to chat.

I enjoyed a walk around this park. It isn't too big but it's nice and there's shops selling coconuts and drinks on a hot day.

We went with miss Puang to sticky waterfall as a private group of two.
She and her husband korn offer small and large group tours, but we opted for a more personal experience.
Very pleased with our trip, and being a private tour, we could choose when and where to visit along the route.
Puang is very knowledgeable, so we learned a lot about the longneck Karen’s who we visited en route to the waterfalls.
The one big advantage is Puang and korn can help with things like ordering food etc.
Korn even arranged for my wife to get her hair cut and for us to have traditional sak yants with a monk.
We will definitely use them for any trips we plan to take around Chiang Mai when we come back.
    A really good recommended company.

We had a great experience! We did the half day evening cooking class and it was really nice that the class is held outside under a covered area. It ended up raining while we were in class and it was so refreshing; definitely was a cool vibe to be at the farm cooking during rain. Waas was such a nice and fun teacher! Highly recommend.
