What travelers are saying
- Melissa FBelmont3 contributionsToday we went to the elephant rescue pain in Chaing Mai
Our family which included 2 kids age 8-10
were picked up and dropped off by a shuttle bus.
Our tour guide Dew gave us some information along the way to meet the elephants
Few has an incredible wealth of knowledge about the beautiful gentle giants
When we arrived to the park we were welcomed and changed into clothes that made it easier for the elephants to know and trust us.
Throughout the day we were told about how to care for the elephants and to respect their areas. We had multiple opportunities for feeding and to see the elephants in their natural habitat.
We had a fantastic lunch that was prepared fresh by the family (Mahut)
Then we got to go for a walk up the mountain and feed the elephants before we went for a swim to wash and brush them.
The day was such an amazing opportunity for families to be a part of the Thai family and learn so much more about the elephants.
Thankyou Dew and the team for taking us on such an adventure
Our kids had the most incredible day being a part of the elephant worldWritten September 25, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. While the dated, encompassing stupa is impressive, the network of underground tunnels is the main reason to come. With the ends of each tunnel dotted with deities, the whole complex is solemn and spiritual.Written September 22, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - rickroverNewlyn, UK129 contributionsThis is a very special temple in amazing surroundings. The temples are quite small and nowhere near as opulent as Doi Suthep or Phra Singh. For us it was part of the reason we loved it. The stream and the surrounding jungle made this place very beautiful. There are good walking paths within the compound. Definitely worth visiting.Written September 16, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- LeonhknyHong Kong, China13,896 contributionsThis is Chiang Mai's distinctive silver temple. Steps away from its walled city, Wat Sisuphan is unique and picturesque. Interior is particularly ornate with gleaming silver walls surrounding the golden Buddha. Admission is 50 bahts.Written September 23, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- keeleya_Maidstone, UK2 contributionsI had an absolutely fantastic and insightful day at the Elephant Sanctuary. Our tour guide Korn is so knowledgeable and passionate about the elephants and their history. A big bonus of the trip was that as a group of 7, we were the only ones at the Sanctuary which gave us the opportunity to spend plenty of time with the elephants without feeling rushed. A lovely Pad Thai lunch was provided and well as fruit and free water. Big thank you again to Korn and the team for a day I will never forget.Written September 26, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Nevertheless, even though we could only go as far as the fifth viewpoint, it was worth the admission money. The falls were very active which wasn’t surprising given the amount of rainfall so some care had to be taken on the footpath. The first few stages are wheelchair accessible.
It’s not just the waterfall that is a very good attraction but the plants, shrubs and trees. There are many different varieties and where you have trees, there will be insects in abundance.
There is a large car park and the inevitable food stalls nearby.
Well worth visiting particularly in dry weather.Written July 14, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The artist lives next door and was in the gallery when I visited. He is friendly and well-travelled. I ended up being invited to an opening. A visit here would be easy to combine with a visit to Wat Umong which is quite unique as well.Written December 19, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Geoffrey BThailand1 contributionMr. Win and his trusty crew of professionals custom made two vests for me. I brought them material (ikat from Bali) that I requested they use to construct the vests. We came up with a simple design and I chose the other material he had on hand to complete the job. We did one fitting and that was it. The completed vests were better than I expected (and I have very exacting standards). I will certainly return to His and Her Tailors House when the need arises. Thank you, Mr. Win.Written September 22, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Marie C1 contributionWe took an evening class as two families with kids aged from 10 to 15. We were joyfully greeted by Yves, then Pook and Folk took over and directed the cooking lesson. They are the nicest instructors you could wish for, passionate, friendly and attentive. Our four kids were absolutely delighted to learn about the ingredients, cook and eat the dishes - as were the adults ! We highly recommend this school, and we will without a doubt go back to them next time we come to Chiang Mai.Written July 9, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
