Gave us a name and photo of who to expect from his directory of professional drivers who were respectful, spoke good English and we're able to cater for my mother in a wheelchair. Gave advice and offered to make further stops along our route.
We enjoyed Ahe so much, we booked her to take us for the long drive from Chiang Mai to Chiang Rai.

He picked us up at the airport and took us around Mae Rim, letting us know that he will take us anywhere we wish and offering to take us to places we didn't know existed. He has the sweetest daughter that we had the pleasure to meet. I'm glad I brought some chocs to share with his family, they are truly a wonderful family with a hardworking and dedicated father. Mr. Ae was helpful and give guidance to plan throughout our journey & arrange Mr. B. Mr. B was also very attentive to the needs of the elderly in our group, making the trip comfortable for everyone. - Gertjan K1 contributionAdul Konkeaw drove up to Pai from Chiang Mai trainstation. A very save drive. He takes his time and stop for en lunch or toilet stop. We asked for him to take us also back from Pai to Chiang Mai.

We could not be happier with the decision to hire Ben as our driver. He took us to a beautiful waterfall, Wat Palat, Doi Suthep, elephant sanctuary, white temple, blue temple, long neck village, golden triangle, opium museum, hot springs and some off the beaten path restaurants that were hidden gems. He was so kind and always accommodating our every need. - AlbeMUnited States493 contributionsWe hired Jack for a 3 day tour and we couldn’t have chosen a better guide for our visit to Chiang Mai. Communication was super easy with Jack. We simply told him the places we wanted to visit and he put in a great itinerary together along with some other places he suggested. Jack was on time every day to pick us up at the hotel. What we loved about Jack was his knowledge of the history and culture of Chiang Mai and did not feed us with a ton of information that some tour guided do. Jack was also very patient and allowed us to have the time to enjoy the sites without hurrying us. He also took some great pictures for me in the temples that women were not allowed to go in and gave me some great tips to help me with my photography. He also took us to some great and very affordable restaurants for lunch. Jack also took us to the airport and was again on time. He was attentive and very helpful , it’s a very long trip. We stopped at the Hot Springs for bathroom break, and then we went onto the white temple and blue temple and then stopped at Lolita Café and then onto the Golden triangle his van is extremely comfortable and he is a great driver. We would highly recommend him. - Cole P4 contributionsWe had an amazing day on a full day tour of Doi Inthanon with Pu. He had an excellent itinerary planned out and we saw all of the highlights of the park. Along the way, he would take time to explain the history and significance of each spot. The ride was smooth and his vehicle was very clean. - Happy Traveller6 contributionsWe recently visited the Mae Hong Son loop on a private tour over 3 days with Otto as our driver. Otto was excellent. He is friendly, and personable. He recommended sights to stop at tailored to our interests, provided good explanations of the sights, answered our many questions, and made our trip enjoyable. He was a very professional and safe driver, and is fluent in English.

I always negotiate a price before I get into it. I have had the driver stop occasionally to pick up someone else but I realize that they are just trying to make a living and if they can drop someone along the way I see no problem. A normal change is approximately 30 baht per person and if there is only 1 person in the back they should charge more.
